As Slim said... Coleman is a very good 10... Holmes can play 10 also as could Nic White... Brumbies have more depth than people realise... and plenty of good young outside backs waiting for a shot....

Er, I didn't actually say that...

And I don't think the Brumbies have strong depth there at all...

As fatprop said, we would be in trouble if Lilo went down as our potential replacements lack any real experience...

Coleman is pretty good though, like like all of the Brumbie who have hit the pitch this year, he isn't bad. He is above average and plays well with the team, gelling well.

I've always held the belief that a good 10 will be a good 12, and vice versa. Coleman is a good 12... But who knows? Maybe I'm wrong.

We can know this about Giteau and Barnes because we've seen them for a while. Give Tamooa and Coleman 20 more caps worth of experience and then I'll decide about them. Until then... Cautiously optimistic.

Speaking of Barnes, he took out O'Connor and Stannard. He's taking out the competition! We must protect Lealiifano from him!

I always hear people talking about the Tahs lack of fitness
...they've shown a strong tendency to come back into the game when they've been behind this year.
watching them last week the tahs looked very sluggish at about the 50 minute mark, and just as I said to no one in particular they should bring timani and hangers on we conceded 2 tries. In the end I think the subs did make a difference and I guess that is one improvement this season - better use of the bench.

Having a bench dominated by large hard blokes certainly helps in the last 20 minutes. I wonder if we will have the same impact with a fresh Mumm coming on?

An improvement from a low base but I don't think it's good enough yet. It seems to me that Foley has a preset plan for his substitution pattern and doesn't deviate unless injury forces him to. For example, Pretorious should have come on much earlier last week -- it was clear with 30+ minutes to go that we needed multiple tries to win.

Agree, and a few times we have needed more timani but had to put up with extended Mumm. Never good for your team, as Exeter may well discover

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but the Brumbies have gone for the obvious lineup here:

5. Sam Carter
6. Ben Mowen (c)
7. Michael Hooper
8. Fotu Auelua
9. Nic White
10. Christian Lealiifano
11. Joe Tomane
12. Pat McCabe
13. Andrew Smith
14. Henry Speight
15. Jesse Mogg

Replacements
16. Anthony Hegarty
17. Ruaidhri Murphy

Jake Whites done a great job with the Brumbies this year. Looking forward to watching this game against the Tahs over a few cold ones. Some great prospects emerging for the team. Go Brumbies

Hard to say that Palu followed by Lopeti Timani isn't just as fearsome as Auelua followed by Vaea.

There will be some bruised ribs on Sunday morning...

Just an aside: if the Brums win this game and the Reds lose v Cru, the Reds 2012 chances to head the Aus Conf at the end of the line are reduced to near implausibility. The points gap v Brums then looks very tough for the Reds, the Brums would have to start performing quite poorly for the rest of the season, whilst the Reds would have to have a major and sustained recovery with a high w-l ratio and the Reds remaining games after Sunday's look tougher on balance than do those for the Brums.

Now, if the Tahs win, it's still very much game on for the head of our Conf.

RH... there is no need to point that out. Is there?

I like the facts. Just highlighting that, strictly from a Reds' forward journey perspective, a Tahs win is preferable. Bit of a destiny-setting weekend for our Reds 2012.

Brumbies have better depth than the other OZ teams at fly at this time... Brumbies can close this out and area a massive chance of taking out the OZ conference...

Some extra goalkicing practice this week will ensure a Brumbies victory. It's been arranged after much discussion with Jake White.
