Brumbies 2025

The Ghost of Raelene

Simon Poidevin (60)
Couple very short cameos off the bench in a perfect world. If he's getting substantial time its through injury which the Brumbies wouldn't want.

Muirhead is more likely to line up at 15 before him at this stage is something happened to Wright.

I will be surprised if Wilcox gets on the field at all next year. Fullback and wings are covered with Wright, Toole, O'Donnell, Muirhead, Debreczini and Meredith. Sapsford can also play wing. Plenty of cover.

Based on a sample size of one, I think there is a real chance that Len Ikitau will move permanently to 12 at the Brumbies as well as at the Wallabies. I was amazed at how naturally he seemed to fit into the 12 spot on the weekend, and given it has been the most obvious weakness for the Wallabies over a longish period, I can easily see him staying there in the long term, Especially if as expected Sua'ali'i retains the 13 spot where he can use his height and aerial skills to great effect. Lenny is a world class 13 but he also looks to have the 12 spot covered to world class level too.

At the Brumbies, I think it could work just as well with his combination with Noah at 10 the same as for the Wallabies, and with Sapsford who is physically similar to JS playing that same role at 13.
I really admire BR’s persistence in the campaign for Ollie Sapsford to be recognized as a centre and not just a reserve winger.

It’s now gone next level with the claim that Sapsford is physically similar to JS. Are we talking purely height/ weight or has Ollie been hiding his world-class athleticism?
