The Brumbies will be rocking a gold away jersey this year:
That's a nice looking jersey for an away strip. It will look very effective under lights or on TV.

I like the gold strip, especially if they have matching socks.
But isn't it going to cause problems playing the Hurricanes in Wellington?
I really don't understand why teams have "home" and "away" strips to be worn regardless of the other team's colours.
Isn't it more sensible to have "main" and "alternate" strips, the alternate strip to be worn by the away team if the main strips are too similar?
Why is that so hard?

Didn't they wear gold away jersey last year? Or was that just a special game? Seem to recall something..
Not a bad looking jersey though.
White is with us until the end of 2014!
Hehe. Worth a quote.
Centenary game against the Tahs in round 4.
They did well a cheap looking verison but they released itBest jersey I saw all year. Pity they didn't release it to the public. Like this away strip a lot.

Auelua injured his shoulder in a match against the Wellington Hurricanes in May last year.
Not long after getting off the field, then Wallabies coach Robbie Deans called former Brumbies mentor Jake White to tell him Auelua was in the Test squad for the historic series against the Lions.

The powerhouse forward shocked Brumbies staff when he reported for pre-season about 20 kilograms above his playing weight. But a training stint with ex-Wallabies captain Pocock reinvigorated Auelua's motivation.
I'd have liked it more if the word Jake was there before that quote.
But really, I rate Nic White and am glad he's sticking around. Could be captain after Mowen leaves.
Henry Speight's Wallabies eligibility saga is dragging on with no updates on when the IRB will make a ruling.
It's not really a distraction for him and he'll just keep doing his best for the Brumbies and hopefully be on top of the the tryscorers list again. Lucky he's such a laid back guy.
