The back row and inside backs are going to see some intense competition for spots. Some of it might be a bit green but shit you blokes have some talent there.

I'll have a go. I don't know enough about the bench to pick the extras.

1. Alexander
2. Moore
3. Palmer

Great balance. Alexander is a fine athlete in the loose, Moore is a tight play master and with the right training Palmer can become a threat in the tight.

Props are supposed to scrum, you say? Well excuuuuuse me. Seriously though that front row can dance with the best in Superugby at scrum time.

Here are the options, roughly, by position:

1. Alexander
2. Moore
3. Palmer
4. Kimlin
5. Power
6. Mowen
7. Fainga'a
8. Vaea
9. White
10. To'omua
11. Sitauti
12. Coleman
13. McCabe*
14. Speight
15. Lealifano
16. Siliva
17. Owen
18. Carter
19. Aeulua
20. Prior
21. Tomane
22. Crawford

Big competition around backrow in particular. Be interesting to see who White picks up.*

* McCabe out injured so 13. Tomane, 21. Smith/Kudriani.

Still a lot of questions regarding new guys, but interesting nevertheless.
I'm sure I'll be proven wrong but that roster is far too green to be a success in 2012. I'm tipping them to be competitive but ultimately, the lack of experience and depth will see them finish last in the OZ conference. Give them another year or two.

The Rebels will go back to back...

The brumbies have a much more balenced squad then the Rebals and Force. With Cooper out for the Reds and Tahs adjusting to a new coach it'll be a lot tighter OZ conference. God i'm excited about it already.

I think the Force will finish where they usually finish...

But the Rebels have made no improvements to their terrible pack, and they've just bought their only two backline players that will make a tackle...

I am really looking forward to seeing Joseph Tomane playing rugby again. Was a schoolboy star and had some good involvements with the Titans. I think he will offer more at 13 that McCabe in the long run.

Louie makes good point, Brumbies maybe in the running for the Aussie conference... I really dont think the Tahs will firer without Beal and Burgess... And teams now know the Reds game so no surprises and Quade is out for half the season if not more... yep Brumbies are a and dark horse chance...

New Captain would have to be Moore you would think.

As for Brumbies finish in the Aus conference, i'm tipping 4th (ahead of the Force ) :(

I really like it when a player like Mowen moves clubs. Treated poorly at the Tahs, considered a bench option and not good enough for the XV. In Canberra, he will shape as a crucial player and I think that will help his game really take that next step. Really good footy player.

:nta: Foley isn't exactly new, he has been part of the program for years and the side is relatively stable.

What "balance" the Brumbies may have will have to be counter balanced against the integration of a lot of new players and a new coach.

He'll come with new ideas. Clearly he's looking to take a different appraoch:

I've said this before but from what I saw on The Code, Foley half way through the season looked like the de facto coach to me. I don't expect too much to change.

there is a big difference between leading and supporting roles... Foley now is the head coach, he'll change things and will have to make changes especially without Beale and a new scrum half and no Waugh...

To be fair, they are the QUEENSLAND Reds. Not the South East Queensland Reds.

The Brumbies also play the Force in Darwin, so a good chance to lose 5kg per match coming up
