What's with Vaea not playing. He worked his butt off last year - got the rookie of the year and now sitting the bench? Deals obviously been done between Mown and White - Captain/No 8. Be careful Brumbies he'll be appreciated at another franchise. So loyalty and rewards doesn't matter in this day and age !

Vaea's not up to playing at 7 and this was highlighted in the Cheetahs match. Hooper's performance last week will ensure he keep until he's injured or Colby Fainga'a comes back and does something equally good as Hooper last week.

Vaea won't play at 8 with Mowen as Captain and Fotu as backup 8. He needs some more conditioning work also from what I've heard

And Mown is playing the beta 8 .....come on...you can't have a captain sitting the bench fella's. Mown's interview the other night gave away the fact that he was bought...So if Fotu is so crash hot why isn't he on the bench?

That's what you would expect from fresh legs.

Also got some new stats to add, this is not to bag Vaea as he made a solid contribution with metres, however,
Hooper topped Brumbies tackle count with 18 tackles when only played 55 mins, no turnovers and no penalties, Vaea made 1 tackle, turned over twice and gave 1 penalty

Something positive to come out of To'omua's misery:

To'omua's injury could also allow the Brumbies to elevate rookie fullback Jesse Mogg from the extended player squad to a full contract.

Mogg scored a scintillating try against the Durban Sharks, bursting down the sideline before chipping over the top and regathering a perfect bounce.
Earlier in the match he put his first two kicks out on the full, but White was happy with Mogg's progress.

''Let's not forget it's Jesse Mogg's fifth game of Super Rugby … he's going to make mistakes, that happens,'' White said. ''But I want to know how good he is after 35 games. You can't buy experience, a guy like Jesse is phenomenal for what he has achieved in five games of Super Rugby. He's come out of nowhere, club rugby in Canberra and it's incredible.

''He's big, he's tall, he's got pace, if he was a South African boy people would be talking about him being an international player.''

Now that Jake White is willing to play a genuine Aussie-style fetcher I can't see why the Brumbies haven't moved Mowen to 6, Vaea to 8, and Kimlin to lock (to replace Power who to me hasn't really done much other than bring up the pack's mean height).
