I'd say there are many more than 50 pro rugby players from Queensland playing right now^^^^^
using that as a guide and say QLD had 50 players capable of being professional, that in rough terms means a player somewhere between 140 & 150 players .
Seems a tad low but if they are the figures thats what they arre.

Mclennan and his deranged protege jones were and are first class bozosReally great to have that locked in long term, adds that bit more stability for the game and it's finances.
Also well and truly puts to bed McLennan's threats about loosing them if he was to be "speared".
You would think that other companies would also see the value in coming on board before the next few years.Would seem a no-brainer for them with the upcoming tour and tournament.
Buzz is one of the most bitter journos around. Met him once, thoroughly unpleasant experience. Must have lost his girlfriend to a rugby player once.Bit of positive press starting to do the rounds. Better than Buzz Rothfield's piece this morning about how the Women's SOO viewing numbers are an embarrassment to the Wallabies.

I watch both codes, but Buzz makes me want to hate NRL at times. A truly pathetic old man at times with some of his misogynistic and patronising comments he publishes.Buzz is one of the most bitter journos around. Met him once, thoroughly unpleasant experience. There’s not even 11million households in AustraliaI'd be interested in a Matilda's v SoO comparison...
Edit: quick google shows 11.2m v 3.2m.
