Couple of points for you Ig, it wasn't his girlfriend involved, was girlfriends sister, and turns out she wasn't bashed at all. Was involved with a yelling match but the women weren't bashed, was a bit of liberal reporting by paper. And the players did come down on the player, and he got his contract torn up.

Ah ok, thanks. I tried reading a couple articles about it as the first one I came tried to say something similar to the relationship you pointed to, but I couldn't make heads or tails of it. Fair enough if they came down on the player, from reading the articles they appear to say it was swept under the rug.

But I'm not sure you actually understand what TJ is trying to say, that he wants young people to be ok with who they are, and not let other people's judgements affect them.

Fair call. Perhaps I got hung up on the whole "just want to voice my opinion" part.

I not trying to be critical of you in pointing it out Ig, just as I not too sure where I stand on the whole Folau thing, I sure he not trying to put the boot into gay people, just perhaps needed a little help when answering his tweets or whatever, same as Brad Weber, I think his could of been worded better also, though I have member of family who is gay, and I would take strong exception if Izzy told him he was destined for hell, regardless of his beliefs.

Although the Italians wouldn't be caught dead drinking coffee made with milk after lunchtime - it's strictly a morning thing.

As my wife found out when we over there QH, son's mate who had a cafe got sick of having to turn his coffee machine when we arrived in afternoon and wife wanted her Cappuccino, I wasn't a problem I just had a beer!!;)

Nah, it's definitely not the only one... as I said earlier - LA, SF, NYC (especially) all have a tonne of good coffee places, and have so for a long time now....

Most of the world's big cities have caught up with the whole Aus/Kiwi coffee culture.
Yeh, we found some good coffee in SFO, but you had to look hard. Got home to the trendy areas where all the wankers are. Haight St had a some good coffee.

Go out on the Highway, pretty well your only option is the filtered crap.

yeah I agree it was difficult to get a good coffee in the US, even in Seattle the so called coffee capital. In saying that though good coffee in Aust is not all that common. I think we have an over inflated opinion of ourselves and our achievements.

The standard of your corner street cafes in Australia was very high when I visited in 2013. Food in general was just good in my experiences.

The two Aussie cafes in Philadelphia are still the best place to get a cup of coffee there outside of La Colombe.

Cyclo and Sully will be thrilled when they see this thread :p

And on a bit more serious note, I do think this is a very well thought out and considered response to the whole thing from TJ Perenara!

I though this last tweet in particular was one of the more eloquent statements I've ever seen on the matter.

"To anyone, young Māori/Pasifika people especially, who may be struggling with their identity - please know that it is ok to be you. You are perfect as you are. Do not let these comments keep you from being yourself. Polynesia has been sexually diverse since forever."

There isn't enough interesting stuff happening in rugby to sustain any kind of relevant conversation.

I can report that Cam will soon be able join Billy P and Mike H on the same golf course for his Sat/Sun rounds (with IS if he is a golfer).

I don't know why you think I'm a fan of Cameron Clyne. I think his performance has been poor. It will be good for RA to move on with a fresh Chairperson.

Not posting endlessly that he'll be thrown in jail or calling him Clone doesn't make me somehow a supporter.

But sure, anyone who dares question whether Twiggy would have completely turned around RA if only they'd done everything he asked must be a Clyne supporter.

who has ever mentioned jail?
Without sitting on the fence, you either support the clyne outcome that we have now or you supported an outcome that probably would have secured the future of Aust rugby. RA would still be in charge but with someone making sure they were accountable but also backstopping all new initiatives.
Clyne's problem was that he would lose some power.
Now he is probably going to run and leave the mess behind because of his ego.
