I believe Horwell will be playing. If you look at the Fox Sport video of the incident, you will see that Horwill was completely unsighted, and could not have known there was a head on the ground there.
He had to put his foot down to maintain his balance - he wasn't raking.

I find it hard to get excited about Taps.

I'm disappointed that there are no 10s joining the squad, ie Cooper and / or To'omua.

Who is George being brought into the squad for?

Won't he be suffering from the same lack of recent game performance that is a major criticism that many had against some of the original team selections?
Look at his first game back in Soup.

Could it only be if Kev gets time?
One of the Reserve Locks / 6's maybe be brought into the starting side and George comes onto the bench to cover 6, and 8.
Or
Could George be Captain if Kev gets time, who else would step up now Sharpie has moved on. It was only 12 months ago that Sharpe had as good as hung up his boots , then......

Mowen for captain if Horwill gets booked. And make no mistake - if he does get booked it will be minimum 2 weeks. Personally I don't know how he could hit a bloke's head without seeing it, but have only seen side on angle.

Who is our 13 if AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is crocked? Can't be Horne, Folau, or JOC (James O'Connor) Shirley....

Wouldn't Genia be given the captain's gig if Horwill is gone?

Beale seemed in good spirits in front of the media today. Good to hear

I'd give it to Mowen. Leave Genia to his leadership of the backs

Mowen is a newbie to the test arena. Moore would probably get it before Mowen. But Genia has been a stand in captain hasn't he?

Genia was captain last year when Horwill and Pocock were out, so I would think he'll definitely get the nod if Horwill is suspended........

Mowen is great at talking to (at) the ref.

Is he related to Paul Gallen?

He clearly stamps. And for what reason? The ball is nowhere near where he stamps. And while I don't know if he knew Jones' head was there, it is pretty ugly - especially given that he has form for this action - but that is actually irrelevant. He should get suspended because it was dangerous. If he had actually raked, I might have believed that he thought the ball was actually around there somewhere.

And when I want to put my foot down for balance, I normally don't do it by crossing it over with my other foot. That usually makes me less balanced.....

I would keep JOC (James O'Connor) at 10 and Beale to 15 but have Beale going to first receiver most of the time. I know it sounds like a familiar tactic but I am sure Deans will come up with this amazing new innovation to turn our fortunes around.

PS Folau must get the ball more.

It must have been tempting to bring Harris in the side - strong defender and runner, second playmaker and the best goal kicking option we have.

Where you put your foot depends on which direction you are being pushed. He has his left foot planted and is being twisted/pushed to his left. Placing his right foot further to the right would be unhelpful.

Where does Smith fit in? Impact sub or should the Wallabies go for broke and play him and Hooper together. The Wallabies dominated the breakdown yesterday and introducing another specialist there could tip the scales so far in their favour goal kicking mightn't even come into it!

Where does Smith fit in?
Outside centre. He has been brought in as a replacement for AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper).

Seriously though, I hope Deans doesn't wildly vary the line up if possible. He has trained the guys for weeks so try to keep the plan together and don't over react.

If Kev is missing I have no issue with Simmons coming in. Noodles to the bench which offers good coverage. In the world of Deans, don't be surprised to see Dennis though.

In a non forced selection I would take Slipper over Benny A.

You started poorly there but finished well.

Slipper was bloody good at loose head against the highly overrated Cole. He's a better tight head than Alexander too.

What was Robinson's injury?

I'd play JOC (James O'Connor) at 12, leave Beale at fb and play To'omua, but I can't see that happening.

This is our last shot, we don't have time to let O'Connor play his way right, unless Deans is completely convinced it was a one off. One option is Beale flyhalf, O'Connor wing, Izzy fb. Another is Beale flyhalf, O'Connor second five, Izzy Wing, Mogg fb.

If Deans sticks with the current set up, bringing in Horne at 12, then we are going to really, really need Beale and O'Connor to show that feeding off each other gamestyle they brought in slicing up the Chiefs. I did see a sign of it with Kurtley slicing through, but a lions player blocked O'Connor from the shortpass.
