Woodcock out of the Rugby Championship (sorry if this has already been posted).

Butler was pretty good this year but I wouldn't rate him that highly...
He is pretty low down the pecking order there, I'd have him there as a specialist 7 but if our 7s were hit by a plague you'd have people like mccalman & quirk ahead of him...

Comments like these from Force and Rebels fans should be taken with a grain of salt. They rate some local club bloke whose played 10 minutes better than players from good teams

The same could be said for some supporters of any franchise.

Really? Because I doubt any reds fans would say quirk or Schatz are better than too many other back rowers. Likewise with tahs fans and Pat McCutcheon.

I'd actually have Butler 5th on the list behind Hooper, Daylight, Hodgson & Gill..but if the plague hit the 7s I'd still run McCalman out ahead of him, but not any of the others..

Alcock is a great 7? That'll fucking do me. He's about as great as Salvi, Fugilstaller, McCutcheon and just about every other 7 that will never be more than a back up in a strong team.

While Alcock will never be Australia's 7, he's better than the 3 you listed. Injury has crueled him this year, but last year he was keeping Hodgson in the 6 jersey. I would have him about 5th behind Hooper, Gill, Pocock (when fit) and Hodgson.

That's a reasonable statement. Colby Fainga'a is probably better too though.
