Jock's pass at the end there a real low light. I know he's trying to do something, but for a Wallaby aspirint, that was a shocker

Well, I simply can't believe the bile that's been aimed at Ryan Lonergan on this thread. His passing game was exemplary. Every single one hit the target in exactly the right place. Contrast with Fines-Lelaiwasa'a first three passes, all over head height to the receiver - on two occasions to Canham, so very much out of control.

Wasn't a bad outing by the whole team, I thought. The score was not a true indicator of the match. Two England A tries were very sus - the forward pass leading to the try by the replacement hooker, and Pollock continuing to roll in Lonergan's tackle and making it to about a metre from the line in the lead up to a later try. Add to that a couple of brain fart moments from Campbell and that made all the difference. First was his woeful and ill-advised high cutout pass which was intercepted for an England try and not long after his rushed penalty kick that didn't find touch where it would have put the Aussies in great attacking position.

Best for the Aussies were Reimer (outstanding), Canham and Smith (as a pair), Hooper, Lonergan and Lancaster.

This side, nor any at this level or above, will be overly successful with Lynagh at 10. He has no variety to his game. He can kick in general play but that's as far as it goes. I reckon HMP is a very good shot at displacing him in the Reds' starting lineup in 25.
