Australia A matches Northern Tour

now that's a mile forward ? over 3m pass like a meter forward. bad refereeing. the boys make a great break from a good pass and called forward. England do a forward pass and they don't even look at it

TMO gets involved after another good break from the wallabies. where was he on the England forward pass ?

refs made a couple of blunders will In England's favour and England are taking advantage of it with some good play.

tool has received one pass the entire match. need faster ruck ball. I agree with getting IFL on

way too many soft penalties given away. reimer is the only one who put his hand up for a look from this game.

another massive forward pass and it's not picked up. god knows how they picked the wallabies for a flat pass and let England away with 2 massively forward passes. but if a joke from the ref team tbh.

Looked a bit mean against boys at the end there. The maul looked good, but really struggled to stop the English gain line.

Jock's pass at the end there a real low light. I know he's trying to do something, but for a Wallaby aspirint, that was a shocker

As predicted England’s depth too deep, Reimer is good, Massimo looks to be promising not much beyond that.

Well, I simply can't believe the bile that's been aimed at Ryan Lonergan on this thread. His passing game was exemplary. Every single one hit the target in exactly the right place. Contrast with Fines-Lelaiwasa'a first three passes, all over head height to the receiver - on two occasions to Canham, so very much out of control.

Wasn't a bad outing by the whole team, I thought. The score was not a true indicator of the match. Two England A tries were very sus - the forward pass leading to the try by the replacement hooker, and Pollock continuing to roll in Lonergan's tackle and making it to about a metre from the line in the lead up to a later try. Add to that a couple of brain fart moments from Campbell and that made all the difference. First was his woeful and ill-advised high cutout pass which was intercepted for an England try and not long after his rushed penalty kick that didn't find touch where it would have put the Aussies in great attacking position.

Best for the Aussies were Reimer (outstanding), Canham and Smith (as a pair), Hooper, Lonergan and Lancaster.

This side, nor any at this level or above, will be overly successful with Lynagh at 10. He has no variety to his game. He can kick in general play but that's as far as it goes. I reckon HMP is a very good shot at displacing him in the Reds' starting lineup in 25.

I'm curious what everyone thought of the XV/A's tour in general?

Do you think it provided a lot of value for RugbyAU and/or the players involved with the limited number of games and game time for some of the players? Feels like a bit of a missed opportunity not being able to line up any more games.
