At this stage, I'd be surprised if TT, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), Ikitau and Jake Gordon stay.

I'm guessing we will be able to re-sign Frost, McReight and Lolesio.

Tom Wrigh
t - who knows, depends on if he gets a Tom Banks sized offer.
Be bloody annoying. Finally hits his straps and he's gone.

LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) might be a better chance than most of staying, my understanding is he returned because he wasn't loving it overseas. I think other ex-rebels like Daugunu and Leota seem like a pretty big chance of leaving though.

Also a bunch of guys who've fallen out of favour - Foketi, Campbell, Lambert, etc. are probably a huge risk of going too.

It does sound like he (and particularly his wife) would like to stay in Brisbane, but it also sounds like he won't get as much as the Rebels were willing to pay him under the next contract, and there are OS clubs willing to pay a lot more

Looks like that Lemoto kid is going to be pinched by the French system instead of the Wallabies or Panthers

I just read it. It said his family are very pro rugby. And seems RA are up to their eyeballs in this deal, which I was surprised with because I thought panthers had him sewn up! Whatever, they RA did to secure Jorgensen they are attempting to do to sign Lemoto.

1. Prefer him to go to France than League.
2. If he does go to France. Fuck them French, no chance he'd come back to Aus. He'd be in a blue jersey by age 23 a la Meafou, the absolute scoundrels.
3. Again, fuck them French.
He's also of Tongan heritage per that article - what's the odds he bleeds Ikale Tahi Red deep down anyway?

Got another year of School so hopefully RA can win him over. He'll not be short of offers and they will be healthy from all parties.

Yes he was excellent in the rep games last year but there's also plenty of players I hope RA are going after just as hard like Uys, Grover & Fonua. Grover and Fonua have another year of School like Lemoto. Is Uys done at School now? Not as familiar with the QLDers

The fact so many of that side were year 11 shows the talent in the group. Bassingthwaite and Makasini who have both signed with League are back as well.

I'm not sure him going to France makes him any more likely to play for the wallabies than if he went to league, but French interest definitely helps us sign him over league as a signal to what he could get out of union versus league. Could easily result him doing a couple of years at home near family with us while he's still 'growing up', with the idea that he would take french money on his next contract. Plenty of time to then work on him staying and becoming a wallaby.

just shows that as a net exporter of talent - if we had the money we could easily fill another Supe team. The French dont have the players as a net importer.

France is trying to fill a lot more domestic teams though.

Yes they are a net importer of talent but their professional player base is a lot bigger than ours.

Uys was in year 10 last year I believe. 2 more years left.

I dunno man I think I'd prefer he go to Penrith than be lost to France

They don't have league and AFL as a player drain. It's either play soccer or rugby in France.
'If" money was no issue we would fill 20+ professional rugby teams easily.

You'd be hoping for a Miles Amatosero situation.
I'd love for them to try and loan him to a Japanese club like Macpherson from the Brumbs. Sell it as a unique, and professional experience, closer to home than France.
