Aussie Player Exodus

Strange one in that sense. Wonder if the Tahs and Jed have met in the middle financially.

SD coached by an Aussie (Manenti) with plenty throughout the side as well. Nice city, no language barrier and be at the beach with your kids and your partner is back in the US.

Good luck to him.

The other guy that was miles above was Vailanu even though it was prior to his Super Rugby playing.
I reckon Giteau could make the Wallabies squad

I see that Monty Ioane leads the offload tally for this international year.

This weekend we’d be getting close to our best Aussie representation overseas:
- Mack Hansen returns to Ireland on the wing
- Monty Ioane on the wing for Italy
- Emmanuel Meafou will play for France in the 2nd row
- Sione Tuipuloto will captain Scotland
- Jack Dempsey will be at #8 for Scotland
- Adam Coleman in the 2nd row for Tonga
- Kyle Godwin & Richard Hardwick for Zimbabwe
- Gunter, Riley, Cornelsen for Japan

Gotta say I love the Zimbabwe representation. Prior done now?

The Japanese ones are hard to criticise when these are guys largely unwanted. Gonna suck when Lucas turns out for them eventually.

The rest are misses or a product of a bad system at their time like Dempsey who I'd love to see still in the Tahs Backrow. Bring him home for a few years as the foreign player....

Yeah wasn't meant to be a complaint post, wish them all the best and hope they absolutely tear it up. It's impressive how many are turning out for teams ranked above us though.

Also! Rob Valetini's brother, Kemu, debuted for Fiji last weekend.

Monty Ioane is so overrated. He isn't that fast or nimble and he doesn't have the power to shrug off defenders. I thought his time with the Rebels was very underwhelming.

Some rose coloured glasses here DC for most of that list.

Hansen - after losing a few wingers, would be great to have in the Wallabies squad
Ioane - looked bloody average for the Rebels, unsure he would get a look in.
Meafou - would be good to have if/when Skelton breaks down, but playing in France means we will struggle to get Meafou available.
Tuipuloto - only one I could think of that would be starting for the Wallabies (but Kerevi and JS may prove otherwise)
Dempsey - not really an upgrade on Valetini, Wilson, Wright, Dempsey (if he was here) and the others
Coleman - his form really drifted off after his break out season, unsure if he would even make the Aus A team
Godwin / Hardwick - no chance either of them would be picked in the wider squad or Aus A squad
Gunter - all honesty, he's Japanese for all intents and purposes. He's been through their system longer than Aus (Riley / Cornelsen I dont have an opinion on).

I disagree re Dempsey and think he'd be in the Wallaby squad currently. Don't know if he'd shift anyone out of a start but he very well could. Can't even get Wright on the park.

All the others I agree with. Coleman's 33 now so no real loss. Probably at one time had potential to be a main stay but it drifted badly.

Yeah as I said earlier not complaining, more advertising our depth overseas. We've got some talented men out there and it's pretty cool seeing them go well.

Regardless of what we think of them and their position in Aus Rugby, they've all made successful careers and are very valuable to their respective nations. We might not have been able to utilise Monty, Jack or Emmanuel but they're consistently rated highly for nations ranked higher than us.

As always its the cumulative loss of depth that fucks us in the bumhole.

We will use them eventually. Super Rugby isn't worth protectionist policies and its just a matter of time until RA realise.

I like that.

Bit of genuine heat in that comment too whilst not being garbage trash talking.

Townsend should stick that in Dempsey's locker and say are you going to cop that?

In Jack Dempseys defence, he also has 14 caps for Australia... so gets the benefit of both scenarios

yeah rather he should put in Tuipulotu's locker.. Or Ewan Ashman, or Dylan Richardson, or Will Hurd, Nathan McBeth, Elliot Mills, Pierre Schoeman, Ewan Johnson, Josh Bayliss, Ali Price, Ben White, Tom Jordan, Rory Hutchinson, Arron Reed, Kyle Rowe, Mosese or Duhan.

That's nuts, that's only from their Scotland squad.
