    QLD GPS Rugby 2016

Ullrich will not be playing any sort of role in the BGS First XV this year. Forward pack is basically decided already except for the front row with Eiszele returning. I expect Johnny Shaw (BGS 6) to play a big role this year. Oli Sheperd will also look to push his way into the starting side. Hit...

Anyone have a draw/schedule for next weeks GPS trials?

    Reds 2016

Definitely as a fullback or an outside back. Although there has been talk of Ponga moving to the halves in the future, his best position in union would be wing or fullback for now.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

Levi Aumua (BGS 2011) named for Souths at 12 this weekend. Was anyone aware of his return to Brisbane following a stint with Bordeaux? Looking forward to seeing him in action as well as Timu for the Bank.

Radike Samo running around for GPS this weekend. Surely the oldest QPR player in a while?

    Reds 2016

Phil Mooney out of the equation due to his commitment at Brisbane Grammar School. Damon Emtage will soon leave for Melbourne this year after moving on as the coach of the BGS First XV, so they both seem to be out of the equation.

BGS have a nice headache with Max Eiszele coming back from injury in 2015 (front row option). BGS desperately need "a" Michael Wolstenholme to play 13 - no one seems to be lined up in that position yet and that's a worry. Strong forward pack otherwise.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2016

Expect BGS to be a competitive side next year. You can expect names such as McReight, Baboolal, Arthur (injured 2015) and Masselos to step up in 2016. Talented crop of players coming through, especially with a front rower at the school for rugby purposes (confirmed). Other than a reliable halves...

Really no surprise the amount of injuries they have with a season that basically lasts 10 months (correct?). They must be half buggered by the time the GPS actually comes around.

Probably didn't expect the mighty Light Dark Blue to come in at 9th.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

BGS were not allowed to run onto Northgate No.1 on the weekend after their win over IGS. It is new GPS legislation which prohibits students running onto the field. This is just plain ignorance and egotism from the Churchie supporters - disrespecting the efforts of the opposition and the nature...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

BGS break a 17 game drought and come away with a win against IGS in a roller coaster of a game, 32 to 26. Great effort by the Light Dark Blue in proving everyone wrong and not lying down. The 2015 side certainly deserves this win. What a strange competition this is though...

The #6 you speak of for BGS was big raging blindside flanker Jack Suchting. Coming into the side after a relatively quiet preseason, Suchting hit the gym and hit 71kg, which in itself influenced Emtage to inject him into the side. He'll be looking to dominant the backrow scene of the GPS this...

Mooney having a relatively minor influence on the First XV currently. Mooney did however attend the majority of the preseason training sessions. Since Term 3 has kicked in, he has focused on the wider program.

King, Meni did not play. He was out injured for today and was replaced by Latrell Soli (Latrell went to loosehead and the usual loosehead went to 6)

The BGS First XV have a bit of a theme going in terms of players injured for the entire season: 2011: Birch and Aiono 2012: Saunders 2013: Morrey 2014: Lanskey 2015: Wolstenholme Devastating news for the LDB after Wolstenholme injured his leg in the first half against GT. Out for 9 to 12 months.

Probably already mentioned, but which club is JOC (James O'Connor) aligned to? And will we see him play any QPR this year as a result of not making the Wallabies cut? (Karmichael as well?)
