    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

Since you are the Monday Expert, I guess it's an appropriate time to talk. Since I'm the SamoanNo8, I guess this is an appropriate person to talk about. Levi was an absolute beast and I watched him for about 2 years. Your words about Levi not doing "much more per half than one big "watch me" run...

Yes Unga has previously been a #8 and a #12. Yes relation to Dylan, and does have the same ball carrying traits as his relative. IGS have a nice problem with both Wolske and Maafu being the starting hookers for Queensland 2 and Queensland 1 respectively, it'll be interesting to see what happens...

Also got down to GPS 1 and 2. GPS 2 were very impressive, Kalala Meni and Tony Hunt were both brutal in defence and attack. Meni most likely has a Queensland 1 jersey, damaging runs and speed of most outside backs...especially given the mediocre performance from Wallis. Efi Maafu would also be...

Rumour has it that Harrison Bartowski has got a full scholarship to Yale for Rugby next year, based on a few of his connections within the Ivy League division I-AA. Hopefully he'll be playing with that sort of skill in GPS 2 this afternoon, increasing his odds of a QLD Schoolboy's rep. selection...

Expect to see @WebbEllis marching around Farmers land on the weekend calling the shots as Manager for the BGS 1st XV. Radio communication skills of @WebbEllis are superior to anyone in the competition.

I see TGS contribute to 2 of the 3 starting No. 8's. Who's their starting Number 8? Pretty impressive for the 'other' guy to make it considering he might usually be a blindside flank or something?

Apparently Gunter hurt his eye badly in the 2nd trial, potentially why he hasn't been selected? As for the TSS No. 8, I heard he played pretty well so I'm not sure what happened there.

BGS 3,5,9 and 13 would also have chances of earning a GPS spot. BGS beat TGS 24 to 7, a very convincing display from the Brisbane boys.

Tighthead prop is very good for Southport. Big and physical. No.8 would also be worth a shot. Can't see anyone else though really.

    Reds 2015

Yes, Frisby is doing a good job at #10 at the minute for the Reds in my opinion, but Sam Greene must be in the selectors mind. Played very well against GPS on the weekend and has a true flyhalfs' mindset and playing style. Also one of the best goal kickers in Australia. Outclassed Duncan...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

News from BGS, former Panasonic Wild Knights and Queensland Reds coach Phil Mooney has been appointed Director of Rugby. BGS haven't had a dedicated DoR since 2012. Mooney should be able to get the BGS rugby program back on its feet from the younger levels, should be providing coaching to all...

So I hear Damon Emtage is the Assistant Coach of GPS this year? (could someone clarify please) And who was the No. 1 playing for Brothers against Sunnybank? A red head guy, not Michael Bermingham was it? (once a Easts player)

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what determines whether the Churchie 1st XV wear white or black shorts when playing? Strange question, just noticed the inconsistency.

    Reds 2015

In my opinion I don't think Chris FS is having much of an impact. If RG wants him to act as a ball running bulldozer 13, then he's certainly not doing his job. Almost still has the attitude of when he was playing schoolboy rugby, that he'll be able to dominate easily. Probably needs to go back...

Forsyth certainly not big enough to handle Outside Centre. IMO, ever since he left BGS his physicality has declined. Having said that, he's a quality player, No. 11 definitely.
