Reds vs Brumbies, Lang Park, 2nd March 2018 @ 7:00pm AEST

Yeah that was Timu's best game for the Reds by a long way, yellow excepted. The card was on the harsh side but not inconsistent with current standards. It's getting beyond a joke though - something needs to change with this Ref Roulette.

Yeah I thought Kane Douglas put in a nearly MotM performance. I don't know who the official MotM was but for the purists, Douglas was right up there. Not doing the flashy stuff but putting in the grunt work.

I think the Reds might actually do better against the Kiwi teams than that would suggest. On that form, they might be able to drag the Kiwis into a wrestle and choke them of free-flowing ball. They probably won't beat them, too much class in the Kiwi teams, but I have hope that the 50 point...

I'll take that win. No tries, scrappy, but the Reds were the better team. Congratulations to them.

Lance - Friday gif for sure.

This bullshit is killing the game. It's just a lottery whether you get noticed or not. Once you're on the big screen it's all over. I don't know what there is left to do about, other than switch codes.

I really don't know when the Reds will ever catch a bloody break from the video refs.

Yeah I'm extremely impressed how quickly Thor's scrummaging has improved. I still think he should be a loosehead if you want to get the most out of his running game but there's no question now about whether he's up to the scrum side of tighthead. I think Aaaaaaaa still has the gold 3 jersey...

    Reds 2018

Ok thanks - the way it was reported in the media (I think it was Tucker) suggested that for Higgers they elected to take the early plea but for Tui they elected to go to the full hearing. Sounds like for a post-match citing like Tui got it's a compulsory judiciary.

    Reds 2018

They must have thought they had a fair shot at getting him off altogether though, or else they'd have just taken the early guilty plea like Higgers, which would all but have ensured 3 weeks. So I reckon the Reds probably don't feel it was very lucky. Still, could have been worse - could have 4...

    Reds 2018

Wright to come into the starting side, but I'd rather Korczyk goes to 8 and Timu stays at 6. Timu has struggled at the back of the scrum in the trials. Tui is going for full judicial hearing which I reckon runs the risk of 8 weeks if he's found guilty. Personally I think he'll be found guilty...

    Reds 2018

Naisarani and Banks too. Both would easily start in the current team. And they were lost on their first full contracts - they should have been easy retains. Naisarani in particular was hardly a controversial pick. Banks showed promise but didn't hit top form until he'd already moved to the...

    Reds 2018

I thought BPA was impressive - maybe not in the loose but with solid defence and good involvement. JP Smith has to be pushing Slipper for the 1 jersey. Basically brings Slipper's game with dominant breakdown presence. Also liking what CFS brought. We know he's always had the talent but...

    Super Round 2, 2018 - Rebels V Reds @ AAMI Park

JP Smith again. Breakdown hero. Even CFS looks interested and committed. BPA was fantastic earlier. Quite a few positives for the Reds to take out of the night, despite the red card disaster.

Toua's actually had a very good game. Especially compared to expectations. Good skills, good awareness.

That's like when the Kiwis insist a strong Wallabies is essential for strong Kiwi rugby. They might vaguely believe it, but you know they still love seeing us humiliated.

    Super Round 2, 2018 - Rebels V Reds @ AAMI Park

JP Smith is the Reds' best pilferer in the absence of G Smith. Showed it in the Tens, the trials, and now showing it again.

    Super Round 2, 2018 - Rebels V Reds @ AAMI Park

Yeah Genia's been incredible. Even his box kicks are on point - formerly the part of his game that made the Reds fans pull their hair out. A few consolations for the Reds - BPA has been involved in everything, and their defence has actually held up pretty well for playing 30 minutes with 14...

So Higgers will be out with mandatory red suspension, and Tui will probably be out when the ref panel upgrades his yellow to a red...
