    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

I remember years ago going out to watch Joeys play at home and decided to take myself on a tour around the school. I saw, in various nooks and crannies, various junior teams huddled , getting well prepared and enthused by at least 2 coaches and various other on-lookers. It occurred to me that...

NSW AAGPS - The Next Generation - U16 Competition, and Presidents XV Rep Team

If Grammar or High have a good A side which is dominating the various B sides in ,say, U14 or U15, is there provision to bring them into 16A by the time they reach that age group?

NSW AAGPS - The Next Generation - U16 Competition, and Presidents XV Rep Team

Representative sides from GPSu16 played in the State Carnival in June and in July a NSW side was named on the NSW Schools Rugby Union website. Does that side play any-one? I notice that 5 of the 23 named in the NSW side were GPS lads....suggests the GPS u16 competition is not the dominant...

Good new thread to watch. Just adding my support...nothing to say at this stage.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2014

Some results year to date have been Kings beat New, New beats Shore, Shore beats Kings. New beats Joeys, Joeys get within 2 of Scots, Scots put 100 on New. Riverview leads Scots at half time, Kings leads Riverview at half time. Nothing wrong with this years competition.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2014

In a world where ALL the teams go on trips interstate or overseas, where training is sophisticated and constant, where coaching is specialist....for ALL the teams, your statement , IS, belongs to a time now long past. Respects to you.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

If the ARU want GPS schools recruiting then the ARU should set up a super comp so that recruiting schools can play in it and the AAGPS doesn't need to self implode any longer.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

This thread thrives on gossip and innuendo. Thre's no point in airing Newington's or any other schools positions....that's the job of the headmasters.

Just re-read The Joeys letter to parents about the progress being made with Scots basketball. Was looking for any reference to early training , as I see from the Rugby pages that Joeys 1-3 have been training since December. Unfortunately, couldn't see any reference. Must be within the spirit of...

Respect to you Quick Hands. I don't think Lambert will take the rest of the AAGPS down the gurgler with him, I think the independent review they are having will give them wriggle room to jump down the gurgler ,willingly ,with him. :-)

If the 5 were receiving firm support from their own communities, the boycott would still be on. The AAGPS is about to re-evaluate. My money says it will validate the Scots model.

IF some of the headmasters who boycotted Scots basketball in term 4, 2013 have now changed and intend to play them in term 1 , 2014 then I am looking forward to hearing their reasons. Doubt I ever will though. What a joke. Who's minding their schools?

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

Cheers, I just think that the respect between the GPS schools is nil, as demonstrated by the public spat being played out by the Headmasters over Basketball. Under the circumstances I would like to see schools who support the idea of sporting scholarships move on and link up with other like...

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

The Grammar Headmaster suggests Scots find an appropriate competition to participate in. I hope they do and that New follow them into it as well. If that were to happen, with no disrespect, I think some of the others would have a dilemma..... I imagine one or two would not want to play in a...

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

In Rugby three of nine schools no longer play at the top level. The co-premiers have been accused of cheating. One school let it be known it nearly didn't play another school in the last round. I personally heard, at a recent match, a group of U15 players discussing the opposition purely in...

The AAGPS has no goodwill left. Just look at us as an example....we all take our positions and don't change, me included. This band of brothers has been together too long and has had its time. The Headmasters should all shake hands and walk away. Start again elsewhere.

Scots and New......stay in the GPS and take your ritual sporting hidings, as in the past , or leave and make your own future.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

I like to see the various GPS and other schools promote the pursuit of improved standards ... both for the individual and the school itself. That raising of the bar occurs at different times in rugby, other sports, music, community service, academics or any activity the schools are involved...
