Oh well, Force did well against a good Cheetahs side. Glad to see younger players getting some game time and doing pretty well. Two great backrow performances today as well.

The ref is getting the scrum penalties right from what I can gather. He needs to do a better job making sure the front rows are aligned better before the scrum is set, to potentially avoid having to give these penalties.

Not sure how you can tell on the TV. They would be getting a few wrong each game though (simply because it's pretty hard to tell where the ball crosses the line). Maybe mathematicians/scientists could work out a way for the AR's to get it right a higher % of the time.

There will be different opinions on this. But I think it is a Brumbies penalty anyday. The Cheetah's backrow aren't even in the scrum, and it's being whipped around fast. That is enough reason for the ref to penalize IMO. (that is a key indicator I look for anyway)

Yeah looking forward to this. It should be a pretty open game giving lots of turnover opportunities.

People rip into SANZAR about referring standards, and then when SANZAR address this by putting the best refs on games without "country of residence" restrictions, the complaints still flood in and people want it changed back.

Great signing for us. We desperately need more backline flair and Genia is a great start, will be worth all the money if he stays uninjured. A few articles say Genia was in contact with a few clubs, maybe he was looking for a change? (and went to the highest bidder in oz?)

Good luck in QLD RG. He seems to have a lot of respect from the players and is a very tactical coach from what I've heard. He never really had the personal to execute such technical plans at the Force, so maybe his knowledge will work well in QLD with better squad depth. I don't know...

Tahs scrum probably won them the game today, good attack as well. Force are looking alright, just wish we'd win a few more of these close home games. Now for the good of oz rugby tahs, please string some wins together.

A rule might have been changed because I've never heard of that before. Are you thinking along the lines of; if a hooker clearly throws it not-straight, then his jumper is denying the non-offending team advantage by tapping it to his own halfback?
