    Tapuai to Melbourne?

QLD and NSW fans need to get over the idea that the expansion teams are their discards dumping grounds.

Hurricanes vs Rebels Rnd 14 Super Rugby 2012

Some interesting selections there. Davidson's selection makes sense given his recent form and that of Jones and Neville. Owen I am a little surprised by. All in all, close to our strongest pack I think. Considering there are 5 legitimate jumping options in the starting pack, I would hope...

    Tapuai to Melbourne?

So... saw this in the Oz today: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/rugby-union/rebels-set-to-pot-another-red-in-ben-tapuai/story-e6frg7o6-1226363906376 That could sting so shortly on the heels of the Higgers affair.

    Hooper vs Gill

I'm staying out of the Gill v Hooper argument, although I generally would favour the better fetcher. But what about the Green, Milo and Pastie fans? PS. I am from Melbourne, of course coffee is the right answer.

    Higgers to the Rebels

    Ignorant parochialism at its best.

    Current Wallabies team!

I hear taking sarcastic posts seriously can do that.

Rebels vs Crusaders Rnd 12 Super Rugby 2012

The KB (Kurtley Beale) situation amuses me. Certain people have been saying for years really that "he's a great 15, and an okay 10". Which was true especially early in his career, because he tried to to everything himself. But, many/most of these people have failed to grasp that he has in fact changed his game...

    Jarrod Saffy v The Rebels

Just because you have a potential claim under one course of action does not preclude you from following alternative ones. In fact, even if you have successfully claimed workers comp then you can still exercise your right to issue civilly, the quorum of damages will just be mitigated by the...

The light hearted history of rugby!

Yeah, I think that might have slipped under the radar of some people. Links aren't always that obvious. BUT, it meant we got an awesomely informative post from Lee.

    Rebels 2013

Gerrard, Hux, Cips, Kingi? All of the above can play FB capably. My pick for the remainder of the season would probably be Cipriani tbh. He has the speed and the footwork to be a dynamic counter attacker. He can still be used as an alternative 5/8th when we have the ball. He has a seriously...

    Rebels 2013

If it works, I don't see it being a problem. And, as I have espoused on many times before, when KB (Kurtley Beale) is at 10 the Rebels look better than with any of the alternatives.

    Rebels 2013

If that is the case, I am very happy with the Rebels' player retention.

    Rebels 2013

That is awesome news. That is a lot of the promising young talent in the team, except for Luke Jones; who you'd have to expect to be a good chance to re-sign given the opportunities and development he's received in Melbourne. Also, Neville being signed would indicate that the club has long...

    Western Force 2013

At some point, the force is going to have to take the punt on Godwin to see how he goes in the big leagues.

Waratahs vs Rebels Rnd 9 Super Rugby 2012

I maintain that with the exception of the Force game, the Rebels have looked their best all year with KB (Kurtley Beale) as first receiver. His gameplay has changed from when he played 10 at the Tahs, he is no longer trying to do it all himself but instead set up people around him. Mitchell's try was a perfect...

    Rebels 2013

2013 is shaping up to be a very significant year for the Rebels. It will be the year that will see the departure of many of the players hired at the inception of the franchise. Already we have heard that Delve and Cipriani are returning overseas; I suspect they will not be the only ones. Trade...

Brumbies vs Rebels Rnd 8 Super Rugby 2012

Call me biased, but I think the call was somewhat fair. It was a 50/50 call at best.
