    Rebels 2012

I believe I encountered your friend at the game on Friday. He lived up to your description eminently, being loud, obnoxious and not really knowing the first thing about the game. My interpretation of him was either a) a non-player/AFL convert or b) one of those annoying backs who always used...

    Rebels v Waratahs Round 2 - 2012R02 - Dunlop Shield III

I absolutely agree with Dumbledore's interpretation of the penalty goals. It got the scoreboard ticking and got the Rebels back in the game somewhat. Bet big, win big is fundamentally a loser's mantra, especially with an kicker with JOC (James O'Connor)'s accuracy on the park. Unless you're under 10 minutes to...

    Too many penalty goals

Yeah, it would be great as the teams are reduced to 13 players, creating a bit of extra room for running rugby to occur... (dammit, where's the fishing emote gone?)

    Too many penalty goals

You know Slim, I was going to say much the same thing. To support the League hypothesis, most of my (mainly) AFL watching mates don't mind watching kick heavy Rugby games. So I don't think its an exclusively 'Australian' thing, but more from the League states; which just happens to be the...

    Rebels v Waratahs Round 2 - 2012R02 - Dunlop Shield III

I don't think that you can realistically gauge the Rebs on last year, given the turnover in personnel and the demonstrated improved ethic of some of the weaker links. I certainly don't think 1 player is going to make any significant difference to whether the Rebs backline defence makes the grade.

    Rebels 2012

From what I saw yesterday, he's not the only one. While I was there, they had JOC (James O'Connor) parked front and centre in the autograph tent and there was quite the line to see him.

Absolutely agree with your sentiments re: getting people involved. I popped down briefly for a looksee and was very impressed with the whole show. Really simple idea, a family day, but a really good way for the fans to interact with the players and club and generally develop ties. It plants the...

Here's one for Daz: Quade Cooper ‏ @QuadeCooper Who's going to the Melbourne rebels fan day? I might come by n say hi. So if there's any reds supporters bring your stuff n I'll sign it...

    Waratahs vs Reds - Round 1 - 2012R01

To be fair, I think credit should be to the Tahs for being there at the end. They didn't look like it at all early. They really worked their way back into the game. I think the turning point though was Sarel going off. McKibbin was alright, but lacked the composure needed for that sort of game.

Did not look forward to me on the replay.

Tony McGahan back to Wallabies coaching set up?

Nonsense, its been shown that the Reds employed kicking as much or more than pretty much any of the other franchises. Your entire post smacks of trying to fit the facts to your opinion, rather than deriving an opinion from the facts.

For a number of reasons I agree. A first week bye is a wasted bye imo. It doesn't let us rest from hard weeks of toil, because well.. we haven't been playing serious games. Our preseason has been good, really good in fact. But, theres always a different level of intensity between preseason...

    Rebels 2012

I went looking for where he said it. While I am sure there are some who will know better than me, it didn't sound like much was in it. Living in a different city to family and friends - especially if they are a big part of your life - for the first time is always difficult. If we're still...

    Rebels 2012

My opinion is, it was inevitable. If you were expecting him to stay for more than 2 years, you were kidding yourself. He provided them with a marketable face to pair with Snorky for their first two years but its easy to see they've moved to position themselves behind JOC (James O'Connor) and KB (Kurtley Beale) as their new...

New South Wales v Queensland: 130th Anniversary

I hope its not too disrespectful to ask if you have any player notes from those games Lee? ;)

This is very disappointing news for me, as I just moved into section 7. Come say hi sometime.
