    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

Yes. I watched it again and it was a mammoth effort by the whole side. The conditions were woeful and the commitment was as solid as we could ever hope for. Lolesios performance was as committed as anyone’s. He is a team man. It seems as though he was more able to direct the play and to...

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

Playing Joe ball is risky with our lack of ball handling skills. He is looking for mistake free rugby, holding onto the pill until the other side makes a mistake or we eventually can kick to the wings. Not really our strong suit but I guess it will improve our accuracy

    Shute Shield 2024

O’Donnell at 13 for norths looks a good prospect, as does their 7.

Ikitau also able to move into 12 if need be. Kellaway to 13 and 15.

I guess it’s tough to judge his performance just yet but Nucifora has a decent track record with this sort of thing. The future of rugby in Australia depends on it going the right way. Hope Horne is up to it.

Maybe. It will be about choosing who plays with Valetini and McReight when they are both fit. Valetini has the runs on the board but McReight has been the next great 7 in waiting. He is also in good form.

Agree, but Tom Wright has been borderline psychotic with his decision making for most of his career. He is improving but not sure he is the most stable influence?

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

Is it possible that Wright is JSs choice as captain and he has thrown it around since losing him? I imagine McReight or Wright are ideal and good choices. Fraser McR. will be first choice 7 whenever fit and he is right up there on a level with Valetini as a backrower Marce. If McReight not...

Best available is best available? They can only select from what we have.

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

He is not a big boy but has a little power and has been horseshoed into the role that Kerevi played previously. Maybe it’s a good time to play around what we actually have? Back to the two playmaker setup. It will be interesting and its not like the Pumas midfield is huge.

    Australian Rugby / RA

I would subscribe to his views and opinions way ahead of whoever is driving the bus now. How has voting him down worked for us so far? We have a system on life support that appears to be slowly dwindling. Surely he has something to offer having been so successful with the Irish system? The...

It’s the RA way. Get Nucifora in for 2 days a week for a year and expect to turn around our whole system. Schmidt is an excellent option but 1-2 years is not enough time to do much with any side, let alone our current one. Everything is done partially and half arsed.
  13. Joe Blow

    Australian Rugby / RA

Surely not? We should have someone who has at least a 2-3 year contract. Jesus, Schmitty will take that long to reshape this mob.
  14. Joe Blow

    Australian Rugby / RA

The drain of experience and talent continues. Not enough infrastructure for players, coaches and administrators and we invariably lose a lot of the good ones OS to more desirable pay checks and stability. RA is reactionary rather than visionary and the ship slowly continues to sink.

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

I would suggest starting with TT and Bell as the Pumas scrum looked vulnerable in the last test. If we can get on top there and play to the corners it will help our cause no end. I would go Bell Fez TT Frost LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) Valetini Tizzano Wilson Bench BPA AAA Slipper Williams Gleeson

Sounds like Lolesio will be there with Gordon if they intend to keep on kicking. Lenny I. and Flook might be a good combination for the kick chase?

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

I think they will go with Stewart. He has a good rugby brain and is solid in defense. Also has a decent educated boot, which will come in handy if our scrum goes well. Tupou to start.

We just need to keep him and make him our high performance dude, whatever it takes.

    Wallabies 2024

Nucifora could have been a really important part of the puzzle in reviving Oz rugby. However, if they still do not want to listen to what he has to say, as before he went to Ireland, well……..it will likely continue on the same way.

    Wallabies 2024

I don’t think we need Leon, or at least JS has his group of coaches and there is not a vacancy. We don’t need to jump on it just because the current AB coaching setup do not want him.
