Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

He is decent over the ball, is a lineout target and is very busy. He has a lot of involvements both sides of the ball. Tizzano struggled to get into the game until it opened up a bit late. Better to have he or Reimer on the bench.

Kolisi is not a fetcher. They don’t really have one. We could use the added weight from having Uru or even Hooper. Hooper is more of a 5 though. Maybe “is a good match” is not good terminology. He might just be a better fit for us at the start as opposed to a little fella.

I would start Uru at 7. Kolisi is essentially their open side. Uru is a good match

    Wallabies 2024

It’s actually not a bad plan. We cannot beat these Boks next week, that much is evident. Send out our best team from this current squad not including those coming back from injury next week and look for a better, more competitive performance before rolling out the big guns in Argentina and build...

I saw that too. We were penalised a couple of times when AAA popped up, once after the ball had left. Marx did pop up a few times but they were dominate and moving forward?

But, we got dished up at the coal face. There is no way around that. As said, we were going backwards and under pressure. Hopefully we can change it around a bit for next week and muscle up.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

Yes. We panicked I think. We probably would have been better served to just slow it down and let the numbers work.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

No, maybe not but commentating on the game as you watch the replay when the rest of the pack are several hours beyond is just self absorbed and annoying for everyone else. Save it for watching it live or wait until you have seen the game in replay.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

We didn’t throw a punch. Even when 2 men up we did not have the capacity to slow down and take advantage. This will be a learning experience in the long rebuilding process. The Boks were relentless and it was like a training run for them. Rassie trying some new ideas throughout. We need to hold...

Can someone please bin this clown?

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

I think our expectations for this game should be realistic. We are missing some key players from what would be our best side. TT, Bell, McReight, Skelton, Wright and an inform/shape Koreibete. In order to match and even think about beating this Bok side you need to take them on up front. That is...

And the most likely to give up easy possession, miss a kick etc etc.
  14. Joe Blow

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

I like Donaldsons speed and his ability to distribute but this is not the place to find consistency. That should be done at Super Rugby level. He was inconsistent this year at the Force. Had some good games and some bad ones. Noah was solid for the most part. It’s another sink or swim scenario for...
  15. Joe Blow

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

He does have great distribution skills and a nose for a gap but he is inconsistent, particularly under pressure. They will never be under more pressure than this weekend. Mind you, Lolesio is not great under pressure either. Lynagh on the bench?

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

I don’t have a problem with Skelton. He brings a different sort of skill set which can be useful. I feel like he has never transferred his European form to the test arena and that for the most part he has been an unwilling Wallaby. Hope we see him on the EOYT. If not, that is OK as well.
  17. Joe Blow

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

Don’t be too surprised about his nonchalance. Every coach since he left for Europe has tried to get him to play for Australia with only a couple recently being successful. Making him captain was absolutely ridiculous and sent a very poor message to the other Wallabies and young players aspiring...

Unfortunately our two best breakdown technicians are not available for this test. It will be interesting to see the makeup of the backrow. Of course putting pressure on the breakdown is the responsibility of the whole team but it helps when you have a specialist or two.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

We are going to need some big boys to handle the Boks for the full 80. Start LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) and Williams with Frost on the bench. Not sure who starts at 7 but Uru on the bench to come on with Frost might work.
