Actually, on the back of this years Super Rugby season I would have thought that Toole would get a run before Jorgensen. Just because they have invested in Jorgo does not mean he is ready before someone else. Look at what happened with Vunivalu.

Wasn’t he a TH previously? Apparently very strong in the scrum. Makes sense. He looked decent last week when he came on.

Are Lynagh and Faessler injured? Donaldson may give us a little more width and he has a decent boot, longer than Lolesios anyway. With the weather we are going to need it.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

Gordon and Lolesio were just out of their depth last week. Under pressure and unable to create anything. Paisami was the only one to actually create any opportunity. BPA is injured and it has been a long time since he played at this level. Is Fez injured? We tend to look back with rose tinted...

We are at the start of a rebuild after beginning to rebuild with Dave Rennie and then having EJ (Eddie Jones) blow the whole thing to smithereens. There are the makings of a truly world class pack a few years down the track. Frost comes on, Cale packs on an extra 5-10kgs, Angus Bell is well and truly over...

Is Maddox really worth pursuing when we have Wright, Kellaway, Petaia and now Jorgensen about to take the field? We also have Sualli on deck next year and who knows where he may land. It could also be at 15.

It’s not a bad thing to have a change in the halves. Both Gordon and Lolesio were completely overwhelmed last week. White is a bit hit or miss though. Hope this week is a hit. Good to see Bell back. Give him 40 and replace with Kailea or Slipper. With the Boks starting a lot of new players at...

It’s going to take a bit of time to get to place where those OS players are able to slip in and out of the squad as it is with this SA side. Schmidt has said as much and that it’s unlikely that he will know his best side until after the EOYT. We have the BILs next year and a World Cup a few...

It’s not their best but it’s still not too shabby and the bench is stacked in case it goes belly up. They remain firm favourites to win comfortably.

Frost, given a little time, will develop into an excellent test lock. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is hitting his straps and we have some other decent ones coming through. Swain, Williams, Canham, Ryan Smith and a few others. These guys just need time in the saddle. I have no idea why the coaches have no interest in...

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

Saturday will be another learning experience no doubt. Hopefully we can put out a better performance, shore up our set piece and impose our attack on the Boks a little more. It is part of the process. With a few more first line players available hopefully we can give Argentina and the ABs a good...

How far off are McReight and Wright? Are we going to see them in the RC?

He was the only back able to penetrate. Ikitau also slipped through a few tackles but Paisami was the only one to really stress their line. I doubt Stewart would do as much. If anything play Stewart at 10.

The scrum is an 8 man deal. Not all the blame can be laid at the feet of one prop. I reckon Cron will turn them around for next week to at least hold our own. TT and Bell make a huge difference but we need a serviceable bench front row To back them up in case of injury. What has happened to...

    Wallabies 2024

Yes, but if there is a weakness on the other side it enables the TH to get worked, or visa versa. AAA and Slipper know each other and the opposition pretty well. Kailea looks an excellent prospect but he has very little experience, none against a front row like theirs.

    Wallabies 2024

I think he should have started Slipper and AAA. It was a big ask for Kailea. He is strong and enthusiastic but is very inexperienced for a test prop, same with Nongoor. Ideally we would have TT and Bell in the mix as well as Fa’amausuli and Schoup. Once again our depth is severely tested and...

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

Our forwards got smashed at the set piece and at the ruck. It looks as though Frost and Williams will not be available so we need to muscle up. Tizzano may get further opportunities to start but I think he and Reimer are better suited to coming off the bench. Joe likes to have a fetcher in there...

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

I think muscle up at 7 early with Uru and bring on a fetcher later in the game unless Wright is good to go. I would start AAA and Slipper as they have the most experience and likely can at least hold the scrum long enough to get the ball in and out. We need one or two changes at 9/10 to give us...
