Western Force v Asia Pacific Dragons - HBF Park - 12 April 2019

I’m keen to watch Laloifi closely, his form in the NPC was amazing. Could become an option for a Super Rugby side again or even the 7s program again

Lol it was as I thought a loss in context. It does however irritate me a little in Super Rugby with occasional wallabies and Super Rugby squad players getting ‘rested’. The Hoopers, Folaus etc I agree deserve the odd week off. Anyway back to Force stuff.

Not one of these players will be in this Force team. I have nothing against the Hoopers of the world been given the odd week off, 33 games isn’t sustainable and I agree 25 would be optimal but players are been rested that won’t even go near that count. Once again this Force team is prime...

    Global Rapid Rugby

I realized after posting that, it was probably taken in the literal sense of same names every week. My point more surrounds unforced rotation and I seriously doubt they’d rest if they could get through a season. I don’t think the clubs think that way and I don’t think the players do either, it’s...

They absolutely do mate, the only rotation comes from form, suspension and through injury. There is absolutely no rotation for the sake of rotation, if a player is available and fit, they 100% play. It was only a couple of years ago Luke Douglas (Titans/Sharks) played 215 consecutive games. On...

    Global Rapid Rugby

NRL teams pump out the same side for 26 weeks, AFL similar, NFL the same for 16 weeks or so, all within the parameters of injuries of course. Rugby logic you play 12-14 games for the year at a professional physicality standard and have to be rotated out at least twice. Football usually rotates...

Rugby is obsessed with rotation and resting, the Aussie cricket team is probably the only comparable team/league.

Less games and revenue opportunities will solve this issue.

    Rd 9: Rebels v Stormers - Fri 12th @7:45pm

Excited to see Tupou again. I think they will look to rest the likes of Quade away to the Hurricanes in a few weeks time.

    Rebels 2019

As funny as it would be to see Leicester relegated, we should all be cheering them on as the quicker they get points to safety the quicker To'omua can likely be released to return.

Dave Rennie has signed a new deal with Glasgow, so probably unlikely he will take over the wallabies post WC, unless there is some provisions for an international release.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I just read the NZ players association isn’t in favor of players been able to play for teams in other countries. So that basically scuttles that idea. It was in stuff or NZ herald for those interested. I’m still trying to figure out how all this resistance to change and a longing for the past...

I don’t like making excuses for RA, but you do realize RA makes a loss every WC year

Bolt wanting to attempt a career in football because he was a fan, is a little different to two former high caliber American football prospects attempting rugby.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The world league has nothing to do with our franchises, if anything it’d free up extra weeks for domestic content because of the reduced international games the wallabies would play. Under the league teams play 11 matches a season, Australia usually play 13/14 matches.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Agreed. I don’t think the clubs have any issue with the proposed world league, it’s the shrinking super season that’s causing the anxiety at the franchises.

Both had a background in contact sports. Isles was All American high school footballer or something the like and Baker signed for the Philadelphia Eagles and played arena football. Both were used to taking contact or evading players under pressure. I get your point tho, you can upskill with a...

This guy clearly has ambitions to be a professional rugby player and has a background in the sport. I don’t see any point in attracting talent for the sake of talent if they wouldn’t have the first understanding of the sport or a core skill base to start with
