Despite how terrible they have been going the Broncs are staked at centre. Jack Bird has been close to their best in a poor team, James Roberts is an origin rep and Staggs is one of the best u20 talents in the game. Wing is pretty well covered for them as well.

    Brumbies 2019

Agreed, I think a lot of us have to remember 95% of young rugby players in this country are dual league and union players. There is also massive stigma issues with union and league in this country, that forwards don’t touch the ball and that they rarely get opportunities to shine. I think this...

    Rd 12: Reds v Sunwolves, Lang Park, 3/5/19 @ 7:45pm

The lineout meetings are getting bad. Scrums I agree need to be set within 30secs

I’m pretty sure a comment like that implies - get your shit together otherwise i will be the centre of attention. You can’t be having the Wild West out there because you simply don’t want to blow the whistle. While it wasn’t a good spectacle the blame for that should solely be put on the players.

Reds did enough. Don’t think anything else can be said from that game. At least they are in a better position than they were to start the round.

    Rebels 2019

Anyone know whats happening with the fringe Rebels players like Sione Tuipulotu etc. doesn't appear in any Dewar teams sheets, same as Uelese (although i do see his younger brother is named for Uni). I thought they said he would play club rugby this week? It appears some of the extended squad...

    Rd 12: Hurricanes vs Rebels - 04/05 - 3:15pm Westpac Stadium, Wellington

We are in with a shot, a bonus point would be a solid result and inch us closer to the finals.

I wonder if Pone will pack down at no.8 later in the game as can’t see the others been utilized anywhere in the pack other than upfront.

Remember those odds are to make the finals and not win the conference. Apart from the Tahs I think the rest of the Aussie teams should go into more games remaining in the season as favorites than not.

Injuries are completely different to strength, power and endurance levels. Cheika, just like his Super Rugby counterparts are very good when it comes to player welfare and their injuries. Also there is compulsory breaks between last game of the season and when preseason can start under the collective...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I like the thought of a beefed up centres pairing, however one thing that rarely gets discussed is that with such size, you need some lateral movers around them to close space. Otherwise you have some very flat footed targets out wide. We don’t need teams fixing the feet of our bigger bodies and...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

From what I gather he’s still going to be at Toulon, just had a clause in his contract to play somewhere else for a year before resuming his contract at the club. I could be completely wrong on this

    Where to for Super Rugby?

If the Chiefs start to bottom out, I think we could see conversations start to be had about them staying around in the current financial climate. One of the biggest issues in the Southern Hemisphere is the continued want to keep professional the Currie Cup, NPC etc. and the impact these...

I actually think this is the reason Jake Gordon should be in the squad. Say in the Uruguay/Georgia games, he could sit on the bench and with his pace could cover a wing spot as well as no.9. In the wallaby trial game last year he played some wing and was pretty good in limited time.

Asia Pacific Dragons v South China Tigers - Queenstown, Singapore - 28 April 2019

Nothing wrong with small grounds. We could do well to look at more appropriate grounds for other games, maybe not this small but no 40k +

Apparently he had asked for an early release a few weeks ago. Was rejected because they were in relegation problem. But a win over the weekend will make it mathematically impossible for them to be released.
