    Rebels 2015

The Rebels have mentioned on their Facebook page a couple of times that they won't be signing BB. Since we do need a lock and a hooker and, because the "Big Announcement" is going to be on Rugby HQ, I'm guessing it's John Eales and Phil Kearns!

Thanks, I thought that would probably be the case. Pulver? Have I missed some news?

Gus isn't that bad a player, just not up to Super Rugby. Regarding the new recruits, does anyone know when their current contracts end/ new ones ones begin? I'm wondering if any of them will be available to the Rising for the NRC this season or, if they'll still be required by their current clubs.

I don't doubt that you're correct but this is what the Rebel's website has to say...

I read something about this the other day. Might have been in a Rugby Heaven article? It was actually about Bob Dwyer and his mates buying the 'Tahs and, almost as an aside, it briefly mentioned the ARU were talking to another private equity group about the Rebels. I thought the Rebels were...

Yeah well, he was sitting behind Yoda then.

Maybe missing most of the 2012 season with a shoulder reconstruction had a bit to do with it as well?

Weeks, Higgers and Jones all named on the bench for this week :)

Oooh - I wish I had awesome initials, like WMD ;)

    Rebels 2014

Yeah, I get all that and I agree. It's just a bit depressing to have the Rebels as the only unrepresented team after a pretty depressing few weeks.

    Rebels 2014

Well, neither Higgers nor Jones make the Wobbs 23. :(

From Facebook... I reckon it's most likely we'll see Crumbs at 10, Harris at 15 and Jack on the bench covering both. Our whole backline (11-15) have scored less tries between them so far this season than the Tah's fullback. I can't remember English scoring at all.

JRFU to bid for Super Rugby

The weather in Tokyo in March isn't that bad, a bit cold but quite dry. You certainly wouldn't expect snow. You're more likely to get really heavy rain in August-September. Direct flights between Tokyo and Melbourne or Sydney are about 10.5 hours. According to Google, Tokyo to Jburg is over 19...

None of Weeks, Burgess or Ellison looked too good straight after the game. Crumbs has to be pretty sore this morning, he's a tough little bugger though.

Male had a cracking good game yesterday. Shota was solid without being spectacular and was benched with half an hour left. As a test match it didn't look much more than an opposed training run though.

    Reds v Rebels, Sat May 17 @ 7:40

I'd say Holmes would play for the Rats if he's not required. I'm guessing Debreczini is in for Gus, Fualau for Shota and Veainu for Sau.

    Reds v Rebels, Sat May 17 @ 7:40

According to footytips.com.au the bookies are quoting $1.63 for a Reds win and $2.30 for the Rebels. Fair enough. Even though the Reds got a bit of a pantsing last week they still scored four tries while we've only managed 30+ points in three games this year. Defence is going to need to be as...

You missed nothing, according to a post on Facebook, the scarf waving was the surprise. To be honest, I thought the surprise might have been a bit more - surprising.
