    Rebels 2016

It looks great without the sponsor logo all over the front. On the other hand, I'm a bit worried there isn't a sponsor logo all over the front.

    Rebels 2016

I like the way they use some surnames, some first names and some nicknames, like we tend to do. Interesting choice of captains. I guess they'll be swapped around a fair bit to spread around the leadership training.

    Japan Super Rugby team

Apparently, for the first time ever in the opening round of the Top League, the game between Toyota and Yamaha is a sell out. In the short term at least, it looks like Japan's effort in the RWC is putting bums on seats. Hopefully the SunWolves can capitalise on some of this buzz.

    Reds 2016

In Japan they only show 3-4 Super XV games live each week. When the Rebels signed Shota Horie it resulted in nearly all of the Rebels games being broadcast live, likewise for the Highlanders with Tanaka. Tanaka usually does a phone interview before most games as well. I imagine that the Reds...

    Rebels 2016

I doubt that either of them will see much game time in 2016. They both have fantastic potential though.

The more Vics the better - as long as they are picked on merit rather than just because they're local boys. Sione has looked really good in the NRC and it seems that Leota is rated highly so, great stuff! Hopefully the first of many more signings in the coming years.

Tanaka prefers the rugby environment outside of Japan and is happier at the Highlanders, even if he isn't starting.

And he's apparently a pretty good goal kicking option. I saw him in a couple of NRC games, looks like a decent player.

    Inagaki hasn't been re-signed.

You can add Reece Hodge to that list

    NRC Semi-Final 1 - Vikings v Rising

It's an NRC law variation "If support staff or reserves deliberately touch the ball a PK is awarded 15m in." BTW... well played Canberra.

    Japan Super Rugby team

The media in Japan have made Goromaru the poster boy for Japanese rugby. It'll be a bloody shame for the Sunwolves if he suits up for another team :(

When they played at AAMI they always sat the crowd opposite the cameras. Looked much better. Sent from my SM-N910G using Tapatalk

Rising lineout is diabolical. I can't see how they can keep persevering with Pat's throwing. Sent from my SM-N910G using Tapatalk
