It didn't watch the 14's as closely as the 16's Found it hard to get that interested in it and even guys I have seen play much better were off the boil But the 16's game was pretty entertaining The Country backline was pretty good to watch - I thought best overall were gold 20 and Blue 15

Yeah agree. The kid who really impressed me in the 16's was Country 16 . I thought he was the best of the Country Props and for a big lad he had good mobility around the field . Although a lot of the time mobility = attitude/ desire

Not sure I agree with you It only would have embarrassed Country all the more

I don't disagree with you , however , the radar would have had narrower range until recently

You did pretty well and I had to rep your post just based on the General Burkhalter shout out You will achieve legendary status if you can get a Major Horschtedder quip into the mix

I mean look at the U13 game / team 15 x GPS Kids 6 x AIC Kids 2 x Private College / State School Kids Bet anyone anything that at least 4 of those AIC boys will end up at GPS Schools before the end of their School Years are over . Same with the State School kids And it's a vicious cycle...

@ Old Red I first raised the likelihoods you raised a couple of pages back on this thread. I even gave reasons. To re-iterate and summarise : 1. Talent is undoubtedly there however is too thinly spread 2. What talent is there will / is migrating earlier as U12 / U13 recruitment picks...

In terms of the U13 Pink forwards ....that Saturday afternoon game against Blue was probably a Grand Final of sorts in likely how both teams saw it ( in seeing themselves as the two best teams in the age level ) It was an absolute belt fest and both forward packs just gave it to each other -...

And yeah the kid I was talking about initially ( in terms of backline selections and from Green making it if he was lucky ) was Green 15 . And he did what he needed to do on the weekend - as he did last year in Met West selection trials and BJRU but miraculously was overlooked in both , and so...

Thanks BAG First of all , what a bloody fantastic weekend - weather , organisation of the event , players participation , 99% of parental behaviour :) hats off all round Second of all , a qualifier , I did not have a lad playing in the Carnival so I come in peace and without prejudice ...

When you talk of schools who bring in a new nucleus every year who do you refer to BnG ? Specific examples would be appreciated as well

Why the attitude dude ? I have made no comment on anyone carrying anybody . I simply said in response to the flame up between you and Peter Parker ( who I don't know ) that his response was commensurate to the outrageousness of your initial comments . And I did think your initial comments were...

    Queensland Junior Rugby

I totally agree with your opening comments Prince , however , people often see different things . For example , a poster commented a page or two back about another poster's QRU projections about how the loose forwards were strong defensively and strong over the ball. I saw something completely...

All excellent points Tashara and I was trying to condense what was already becoming a long post . And whilst I didn't see the whole game , yeah , it seemed evident that a few more boys in your forward pack , that to be fair , had been a bit up and down in their consistency ( notwithstanding...
