Haven't we already had one of those. Wasn't McQueen DOR for Hill's first year?

My conspiracy mind was thinking that Cox made a call around 3:30 on Saturday arvo with an offer impossible to refuse. Lord Laurie: "Righto then. Just let me tank this game tonight and tweet my resignation. See you next week, boss."

The issue with the top ups is that they don't seem to be included in the clubs' salary caps. For example, I read somewhere that the Tahs only pay Izzy around $150,000. His value is significantly higher than that but only the $150k is included in the cap. This advantages some teams more than others.

In a lot of previous interviews with Cox he has really talked up TT. I thought it was interesting that he didn't mention him in this one. No mistaking his criticism of the on-field leaders though. Ouch. I expect we'll have a new captain pretty soon.

I don't know if anyone would remember Growden's "4 Point Manifesto to Save Australian Rugby" but his #1 point was get rid of the Rebels and move the Brumbies to Melbourne. He has been banging this drum for years, he's not going to stop taking pot shots at any opportunity.

In 2011 we finished on -280 odd, it took 16 games to achieve that milestone.

I think it's time for TT and ZH to get their DCMs. With a week off this is the time to pull the trigger, Andrew Cox.

If previous years are anything to go by, Foxsports update the stats (mainly the tackle stats) on Tuesdays. You can't really take anything from your score till the lockout ends - that's when you see the final number for the round.

I've been trying to join the Fox Sports league but the link in the OP doesn't seem to be working?

Not their strongest team but "really weak team" might be a bit of an overstatement, still a lot of talent in their 23.

Inman might also be on the list of walking wounded. For me, Smith is the biggest loss out of that list followed by Sean. I think I read a while ago that Shipperley had started doing some running, not sure if he's back in full training yet though.

Australia are currently 3rd in the WRR, seems we're usually sitting somewhere between 2nd and 5th - regardless of how many Super teams we've had at the time. Hiring extra players per team just means more blokes on minimum training contracts, I doubt that will be enough to keep many here. We...

I really can't understand how cutting a team would do anything to improve Australia's depth. Each Super team has about 40 players or 200 odd total over the five teams. How does reducing 200 players, currently playing and training in a professional environment, to 160 (or 120 as some advocate)...

A few random thoughts from last night's trial. With the amount of minutes TT gave JG-B in the trial you'd have to say that he's looking like being the starter next week. Out of the guys we've got vying for the flyhalf position, I'm starting to think that whoever is the best goal kicker...

I wouldn't mind JD starting at 15 but Maddocks looks like the long term option. As for who should start at fly half - we could run a sweep.
