I liked the tone of that message - sounds positive. Who has been to all of the 49 previous games? I'd be somewhere around 43 or 44, missed a few in both 2011 and 2012.

I thought (except for Latu) Mumm was probably the least worst of the Tahs forwards. Still, I thought Cummins could have had a look in. He put on a couple of bone-crunching tackles and, for the first time I can remember, we didn't turn over any line-out ball.

Round 5: Rebels v Waratahs, Friday the 24th of March AAMI Park @7:40

Surely he will play 6. "The Lesser Known" Retallick and Cummins did a pretty good job against Retallick and Bird and should both get another crack. Day could be available for the bench but again, Douglas didn't cause any harm in his few minutes. Mafi also plays 6 but he's doing well at the...

Don't worry 'Tahs fans. We have a long history of playing teams back into form. We're pretty likely to pick up a key injury or two at training this week as well so - 'Tahs by 30 odd.

It looks like it's screwed. Too late to do anything now, my team is full of injured Crusaders :(

Anyone else having trouble with Foxsports today? I just logged in and - my team is gone!

I know that there's a need to train hard and, the way you train is the way you'll play, but jeebuz we seem to lose a lot of guys to training injuries. Murray Douglas must be the last lock still standing.

Absolutely! I suspect that makes perfect sense from a Kiwi perspective. 16 teams, everybody plays everybody else once for a 15 round competition. The Saffas might even go for something like that.

I agree. I've criticised TT as much as anyone but generally he seems on par with the other Australian Super Rugby coaches. I imagine he has put everything he has into the job as well. One thing in TT's favour is the low profile of Rugby in Melbourne. If he were an AFL coach with his record the media...

    Rebels 2017

Does anyone else have the impression that Sydney's rugby intellectuals are starting to push the case to shaft the Rebels? Just about all of the negative tripe/pro-dumping articles in the SMH lately have a prominent Rebels photo. As far as I can tell they haven't written any assassination...

^ Yeah, I also have Savea as captain. Him, along with Faumuina (DNP) and Tamanivalu (off in the first 1/4), Lambie (2 pts), Hooper (8) and NMS (13) all adds up to a shitty week for The Wobbly XV. We've got plenty to work on this week at training.

Last week I scored just under 700, even with that nonsense from Kepu (-15). This week I'll struggle to get to 300, unless Ardie Savea made 80 tackles, none missed. :(

    Brumbies 2017

I'm not suggesting for a second that Rugby Central is right but, I imagine that the ARU would have plans to cover a variety of scenarios. One of those scenarios would be what to do if forced to cut a team. I would be surprised if they hadn't already made an in-principal decision. Even then...

Round 3 2017 Rebels v Bye (Bye Tony) at Gosch's Paddock

I believe they are talking about the Rebels Under 20s who play the Force this Sunday, 2:00pm at Gosch's Paddock.

I think it would be a tragedy for Australian rugby to lose any of its current teams. IMHO, expansion is the way forward.

That is pretty much the scenario that the Saffers flat out rejected in 2013 and the reason we have this basket case of a competition now. From their point of view, they already have the Currie Cup. An SA conference would just be more of the same.

Round 3 2017 Rebels v Bye (Bye Tony) at Gosch's Paddock

Good call. Is Maddocks shoulder ok? His right arm was hanging like a big salami by the end of the Blues game.

I think Knuckles was brought in as a "coaching consultant".
