The best XV of players from any school

You may be right although I'm basing my knowledge on the fact he played a season for Knox Old Boys in the subbies

    Waratahs 2011

The Tahs take their gym seriously and the record for each lift/exercise is displayed on the gym wall. Matt Dunning still holds some records there - I think for bench press (185 kg) and power clean. Records are also held for athletic prowess, eg 10, 30 and 40m sprints. I understand the 30m is...

JON get off your arse and buy us some Inglis

He might have to play in the pigs now with the size of him and his apparent lack of pace. He ran dead last in the Gatorade Bolt which Lachie Turner won. I'm not sure I agree he would be a great investment.

The best XV of players from any school

In the Knox XV I would find a spot, probably at 10 or 12, for the great Gordon centre Charlie Blunt from the 70's and early 80's. He also played with the Tahs.

    Aussie 7s - a new journey.

This is how seriously NZ take their rugby sevens. Their coach Gordon Tietjens has beaten Graham Henry for the coach of the year. Despite Henry's good record in 2010 winning the TN and an undefeated tour to the UK it wasn't enough. Perhaps they want him to win a world cup? Lol - we know that...

    Shute Shield 2011

Jared Barry is an old Eastwood junior and he and Allcock were mates together in Barker's 2005 First XV. I think it's a case of a mate following a mate rather than some purge by the Woodies on the Highlanders stocks. However I must say the club isn't as strong since Lachlan Fear was...

Adelaide 7s. Should it stay in SA or move elsewhere?

An interesting yarn here how South Africa may be changing the venue of their sevens event. George's final swansong for SA Sevens? So have we just seen George play host to the SA Sevens for the very last time? With its contract expiring this year the word on the street is that the SA...

Adelaide 7s. Should it stay in SA or move elsewhere?

I would like to see it in a more traditional rugby area where we are trying to develop the game - Melbourne, Perth,. Throw in Brisbane, Sydney, Parramatta and the Gold Coast.

The HPU believe Sevens is a young mans game. Under the current administration you will never see a Cottee, et al get a gig.

    Aussie 7s - a new journey.

There is no doubt that we would have performed better had Phipps and Grant been able to play. I think given time this young team will perform better as the season goes on. The results so far in George and Dubai are similar to last season's results before we went on to make cup semi finals and...

    Aussie 7s - a new journey.

A very ordinary performance all round. And why on earth would they take two injured players to George? Nick Phipps and John Grant didn't play during the tournament which left them 10 players for the whole event. Why weren't they replaced by two fit players? Very ordinary management in my...

Fox Sports 3 are showing Day 2 live from 10.05 pm tonight (AEDT) right through to 5.30 am. Previously we were told Fox Sports 2 would broadcast highlights from the final day in George on Sunday from 6.30pm (AEDT). I was just surfing the fox tv program when I discovered it!

    Aussie 7s - a new journey.

Aussies are through to a qf against Fiji today after winning their other two pool matches 21-7 against Scotland and 28-0 against France. What's surprising so far is big John Grant not scoring a try yet after bagging 9 last week in Dubai. However I see that he and Nick Phipps are not even...
