    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

For starters Foley was not running the team well at all. Scotland made more line breaks I believe. Foley could have easily been moved to 12 and Hodge to speights wing and Cooper to 10.

    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

perhaps in speights case because he never makes breaks so always has supports. Folau often makes breaks, and in the position he was in against scotland takes the tackle. Then due to lack of support who have no idea how to protect a ruck the ball gets turned over. There was no one near him to...

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

In reality Cheika will have his 23 picked for the Irish game and be working back from there. For the baa baas no one in the Ireland game. Now for the french game. There is one issue here, France had been thought of as an easy game, but wallabies lost to them last time in 214 under Cheika...

Douglas would be there to give Arnold a rest not Carter. Carter is another Simmons but a lesser version. Little physical impact, high work rate, good set pice (not as good as Simmons) and slower than Simmons.

exactly, the finishers are supposed to lift the game and add impact. The reality is Cheika doesn't trust or believe in the bench. He used to with super sub Beale. Hooper would be a great finisher as an example. He subs the tight 5 except Moore when they look / play tired. He subs the...

    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

But he was no threat with the ball, no tackles beaten , didn't keep the ball alive. Made 2 tackles and missed 1.

    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

Speight did not make 1 clean break or beat any defenders and zero offloads. So he ran 8 times for 58 metres but as soon as a defender got near him he was tackled AND he died with the ball everytime. Folau beat 4 defenders and offloaded 4 times.

My worry is Foley against rush defence won't kick, he will just play bal in hand again. Unless Wallabies forwards dominate it seems Foley doesn't get the time he needs to kick. For other players it comes more natural so they can do it with less time and don't need front foot ball.

I agree it is mystifying why Foley did not kick more against the rushing defence. However this is not an exceptionally talented squad. Potentially it may be if the newer players keep improving. Deans, Jones even Connolly had better squads.

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

I forgot about Strizaker, Smith and Kellaway As few players as possible of the ones in the Ireland game should be in the baa baa's game.

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

    For France; 1 - Sio 2 - Moore 3 - Kepu 4 - Arnold 5 - Simmons 6 - Fardy 7 - Pocock 8 - Timani 9 - Phipps 10 - Foley 11 - Naivalu 12 - Hodge 13 - TK 14 - Folau 15 - DHP 16 - Latu (gets 30 mins) 17 - Robertson 18 - Ala'alatoa (gets 30 mins) 19 - Douglas 20 - Hooper 21 - Genia 22 - Cooper (gets...

    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

My biggest issue is that the attack reverted to being predictable again with the exception of the Hodge try which was marvelous. Why wasn't the high kicks to DHP and Folau tried more. Why wasn't Foley doing little short kicks behind the rushing defense with chasers coming through like he did...

    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

Agree not DHP's fault at all. On the kicking Hodge has the same issue as Folau. Both kick a lot further than Foley but both take too long and neither are that accurate. Mind you Foley kicks too low and thus is charged down often.

espn stats say Folau had 2. He made 4 offloads.

    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

With a 6:2 bench it was a choice between poor options. Simmons for a lock fine, done. Then for the other lock it was between Skelton and Douglas , little between them Douglas in poor form and not fit. A minor issue because the expectation is that Skelton will only get on for 10 mins or so...

McMahon is still having trouble with his ankle. In the wet is not the time to try a dodgy ankle.

    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

Unlike people who way over rate people, new players barely played any games and they the next best great. Rated far too early as world class or even world's best in position etc. They are over hyped. Cooper, JOC (James O'Connor), Beale Now Hodge , Coleman, Timani. Hodge has holes in his game. He has not...
