So that is all you could get my write up, attack one perceived flaw. Nothing you liked about , but just saw it as a negative piece did you? Well you even got that wrong IMO. I said centre was an area of strength with TK and Kerevi vying for the position. Hodge is not proven, has a long way...

    I was thinking where are the strengths of this Wallaby team and what is it's potential. As a different way to measure it I compiled a team of Wallabies based on most caps per position. 01 Slipper - 83 02 Moore - 113 03 Kepu - 74 04 Sharpe - 116 05 Eales - 86 06 Elsom - 75 07 Smith - 111 08...

I don't think Skelton looks fit at all, not for a professional athlete. He still has excess weight around his waist. Also his muscle tone is almost non existent. Look at his legs , chest, shoulders, biceps very little muscle development. So fine he went on a diet but needs to work a lot...

Actually I was thinking as far back as last year alternating or subbing Fardy at 6. Then use him at 8 as well if needed instead of McCalman.

Timani was also a great option for 6 and not needing the specialised back of scrum training. He could have been selected at 6 ahead of Fardy or Mumm ages ago. Also consider before the rebels at the tahs he played both 6 and 8. He probably had a reasonable background in understanding the...

Pocock is the cover for 7. Mumm goes to 6. Pocock is also the cover for 8.

It will be harder going for the big forwards in the wet

If so he just needs to work harder and be better. Players are not ENTITLED to a starting spot. The best player available plays.

Timani was excellent in super rugby last year He was good this year just not as good as last year Too many people just see flash plays and don't appreciate the hard tough in tight stuff.

Douglas is still not fit enough. After the big drop in physicality when Simmons came on it is obvious Cheika wants to maintain the physicality when Arnold comes off. Skelton is the answer. He values that so much the other selection on the bench are there to shore up the lineout. Skelton is...

perhaps better stated as some CAGR posters never see Folau have a blinder and it is about them not folau

I know it is a compliment in that he says Timani is playing very well forcing him to pick him. However he stated he was looking at getting Mumm in the side and just couldn't. So his first preference is Mumm to start, only great form will keep him out. So if Timani only has a good game the...

The only selection I see no logic for is Mumm for Fardy. I see the logic of a 6:2 bench in the wet. I see the logic in Simmons and a 6/utility in case the lineouts go pear shaped. However you would think that means Pocock would be taken off which means Fardy is needed for the breakdowns in the...

To me it is very simple. Long term, i.e building towards 2019, which combination of halves will perform the best , i.e who will develop to be the best. First to decide that you need to evaluate do you think the individual player is good enough and will last to 2019? Genia, Cooper and Foley...

not true at all. Folau played very well in June against England. Had a good game against NZ followed up by Wales game. He had 1 poor game during the RC , rest were fair to good but not up to his usual standard so yes he was below form.

Larkhams attack patterns do not rely on creating mismatches but in forwards getting over the ad line and quick ball. Since there have been few tests where Coleman, Arnold and Timani have started it is now wonder that only recently has the attack patterns looked better. It also helps that the...

My suggestion of not playing Pooper and having 4 lineout targets i.e playing Fardy, Pocock Timani and respecting the weather, line out and breakdown does not equate to 10 man rugby. It means in the wet use Hodges boot for distance like he did against Wales. It means aerial bombardments for DHP...

Perhaps the increased skills helped the attacking patterns shine. Previously the wallabies would make a bad pass or drop the ball so the attack looked and was pedestrian.

TWAS - Be fair, Wales were ranked 5th when we played them. Their loss and Irelands win dropped them to 7th.

I did. I saw how they played tight and kicked for the line against Engalnd in the wet. They have a very good lineout. Denton no 8 is 196 cm. No 6 Hardie is 190 cm Yes they run their backline , they have a a good attack with Hogg, Bennett etc, against Wales under the roof.
