England v Australia, Saturday 3 December

sure but none of them would involve minnows at a rwc like the ab's did. I thought they were on 13 wins, beating aust would make 14, undefeated in 6n's would make it 19 and the new record.

No that is not quite true. 1 and 2 seeds are put on the other side of the draw so if they win their pools and qf it is impossible for 1 and 2 to meet in a semi. 3rd and 4th are allocated randomly, followed by 5-8 randomly, followed by 9-12 etc assuming 4 pools of course.

If wallabies lose to england they stay 3rd. Sure after 6n's they could drop to 4th , probably will if ireland only lose to england, can't be bothered to work it out.

only 2nd because wallabies over achieved in 2015. Besides they had the o/s giteau's players then. In june they weren't available. If you look at the players man for man and other countries wallabies easily played above their weight to be 2nd.

Only because the expectations are too high. Currently There is little depth in aust rugby. There are very few world class players. The quality overall is not there. ARU has little money, can't afford all the assistant coaches, especially of quality, that other unions have.

Ireland v Australia, Saturday 26 November

less than 1/3rd of penalties were in the ruck

were there that many ruck penalties? Of the 13 penalties from what I remember 2 in mauls for side entry 2 in scrums 1 offside 2 dangerous tackles 1 dangerous cleanout so at most 5 ruck penalties

Sure Pocock was robinson crusoe at the ruck against 3 or 4 Irish forwards. Hooper was no where to be seen. Simmons and Mumm fell off cleanouts no wonder the Irish pilferers did better. So any number of missed tackles by Hooper is fine now thats a great excuse. Chasing kicks and breaks is...

England v Australia, Saturday 3 December

Timani would have cleared irish bodies off the ruck which Hooper can't do. Hooper missed 4 tackles the most by any player. Timani helps to get over the ad line and would be harder to hold up in a choke tackle. The backrow is more balanced. Timani's size and strength was missed more than...

Ireland v Australia, Saturday 26 November

The stats about passes etc was to show he was not selfish in general. The utter rubbish comment was that the non pass when he ran it cost the wallabies the game , it clearly did not. At what point did he throw a poor pass that meant a try went begging? Do you remember the point in the game...

Agree. However the issue is money. The ARU is short of it and that was one reason it took so long to hire Byrne. The ARU wants to minimise the number of wallaby coaches.

Ireland v Australia, Saturday 26 November

Total and utter utter rubbish. Soon after the non pass from Folau wallabies had the ball and naivalu scored. He scored closer to the posts than if folau had passed. Sure poor play by folau but it did not cost the game, if he scored the game restarted at halfway and Naivalu try would not...

Ireland v Australia, Saturday 26 November

The wallabies scored a try soon after that in a closer position actually, Naivalu. If he did pass then a kick out wide and a restart, so no that was not a try that cost the match.

refs have to be more accountable one sided reffing like Peyper and Garces should not be tolerated.

also look at the tackle on Pocock , clear head high, when he gives the flat pass that owens called forward

I would have allowed both tries

As I predicted before the Ireland match Pooper would cost the wallabies and even more so doubling down on McMahon on the bench. Also how many starts does Speight get before it is realised that he is not good enough. Moore is too slow and shown up again. Genia has not recovered his RC form but is...

fine but then lose every close game because it is fine for refs to be ignoring 1 team
  19. PeterK

Ireland v Australia, Saturday 26 November

true but very hard to adjust to the ref if the very same action by ireland is ok yet when wallabies do the same get penalised.

Ireland v Australia, Saturday 26 November

I would say all the penalties against wallabies were correct, with perhaps the exception of the Mumm head high since the player ducked into him and all he did was wrap him up, but there is a focus on contact with the head. The obstruction was minor and I don't believe he would have tackled him...
