Good on him for having a crack and getting some playing time. Good on Norths for getting him in. I hope Lodge gets plenty of support and Norths attract some good crowds and sell a truckload of XXXX Gold. Norths need all the help they can get, so let's give them our support. There might be a...

Agreed - the Uni scrum really dominated. Impressive forward pack. Wests battled hard but were simply outgunned. The UQ backs looks good at times but I think combinations are still a work in progress. UQ Colts had a good day with all teams winning over the doggies. Long way to go though....

You can also add Jake Tierney, Lachie Phelley, Fin Hearn and more to that list potentially. UQ will be right in the top of the table mix.

Can think of a couple straight up... UQ - James Dalgeish (3 x Premiership winner and QPR player of the year twice I think) - went to Scotland (Watsonians) to get a professional gig but might be back here UQ - Brad Twidale - plays 10, 12,13. Premiership winner

Speaking of Lynagh...where is he? Has not played any QPR trials or been named on Reds bench. Thomas and Grealy played for UQ against Brothers to get some game time I suspect. Why not Lynagh? I would be thinking he would be itching to get some game time somewhere. Some discussions on the...

Good to hear that The Bankers are on the improve as you say. Important for our game, the competition, the health and well being of young men and the community.

Any news/updates out of "The Bank"? They really struggled in Colts last season (fielded only 2 teams and ultimately only 1 team that forfeited at the back end of the season) and the Grades similarly were not strong. A once proud and strong club appeared to be in trouble on many fronts. For...

My mail today is that "no community sports" means no team training in any reconfigured format. Interestingly, there has been no clarification on this from Queensland Health to date that I am aware of because I suspect no-one wants to ask the question.

".....stripping of points"? What was the crime?

While it would be great to extend the season etc, there are just too many unknowns to make plans etc. Then there are the many player issues highlighted in the forum here. There is no way our Dr Young will permit any form of club / school sport until there is a zero/donut case day again. Add...

My mail is that the "issues" at Sunnybank run a lot deeper than the recruitment and retention of players. The cultural, management, financial and behavioural issues that are behind the demise have been happening for some time now. It is very sad for the local competition and those many great...

Love it! I think a root cause / issue is the school to Colts/U20 transition as pointed out by the followers. 20 years olds should not be playing Colts 4! I believe there is a strong case and precedent (in the ACT) for an Under 18's comp as recommended. I love the FOALS concept and...

The dropout rate from school rugby to Colts is alarming. I also am led to believe that the dropout rate from 1st XV to Colts is worse! The dropout rate in Colts into grades should be of major concern to clubs and game administrators. The fiasco that was/is the Colts 3 "competition" this year...

Excellent game analysis. That last sentence is spot on. The Colts situation at UQ this year has been very disappointing on a number of fronts. We can only hope some maturity and governance evolves for next year.

Can someone explain to me how clubs are able to parachute schoolboys players into their teams for cameo appearances at this time of year? What about player registration? It seems very poor form and competition management to me. I can't see how other Easts Colts players (particularly those in...

Any updates on what has transpired since the Brothers v GPS Womens fiasco. What happened and the resulting national media coverage of it has done irreparable damage to our game. It was a sad day on many fronts.

Sadly, I believe that the once mighty sub-districts competition in Brisbane is not so mighty any more. Credit to Redlands getting a very competitive Colts team together this year. I think it is important that the lower Colts team remain in the Brisbane area and playing on their club days...

    QLD Colts 2021

The dysfunction got more dysfunctional last week in Colts 4 with a ridiculous 86 point win in Uni vs Brothers B and Brothers 4A with a 32 - 7 win over Redlands who were competition leaders. Clearly, some side stacking with Colts 3 players going on. Is there a QRU competition manager looking at...

Yes - it was a great club rugby day all round spoilt by these mindless idiots. Totally unacceptable, dangerous and a blight on the club supporters. I trust the GPS Management take this incident very seriously and the perpetrator/s are dealt with accordingly and that this sort of rubbish NEVER...
