The TSS boy's selection is an insult to the many club Colts players who have worked through 18-20 rounds of the club season to give themselves a chance of selection. It also raises questions as to the actual age of this player and his eligibility to play at GPS and/or at the Under 19 level.

The sad reality is that TSS and Nudgee are gaming the rules with their Grades 11-12 over three years rubbish, scholar-shipping contracted rugby league players. It's not a level playing field anymore and sadly it will end up as dysfunctional as the Sydney GPS.

Can anyone enlighten what impact of the coming ATAR system will have on those schools (ie. TSS) that play the completing Grades 11-12 over three years?

We experienced similar poor post-match function behaviour from our BBC counterparts. $/scholarships certainly doesn't buy manners or respect it seems. Smarten up BBC coaches, staff and parents!

Precisely. I think you'll find that the 2nds player referred to has also come on as a reserve in 1st XV this season. It's just the tip of the iceberg.

Word does get around and there are lots of questions being asked.

Which again raises the question - who is checking the compliance to these. I am increasingly of the opinion no-one and the rules are being ignored. From ethical and legal standpoints that is very scary.
