    Karmichael Hunt Stuff

Number of games really doesn't matter as he has already missed them. 1 or 4 games would be the same real world impact but 4 sounds like they are being more firm.

2018 TV ratings and crowd numbers

I am a little confused. Are you saying that all of the sports that are highly successful financially have killed the grassroots. But then in rugby the grassroots are alive and the financial position is poor?

    Rebels 2018

But every }#^#ing week? It hasn’t changed. So why repeat the same crap all the time. We agree we want a sponsor but what is the point of posting it all the bloody time. There is no serious discussion that we can have about it so why bother unless you are just trolling.

2018 TV ratings and crowd numbers

What crap. Maybe it was a good game but I have no affiliation with either of these teams and so wouldn't have even thought about catching it. I'm glad that you have made yourself the arbitrator of who deserves to have any rugby to watch. I'm not someone who grew up with rugby- I grew up...

I’m not anti Shute shield, I just don’t give a rats ass about it.

So wish we hadn’t lost Woodward. Went back to NZ for a phantom All Blacks jersey

2018 TV ratings and crowd numbers

Same with AFL. During AFL season, there are multiple games in Melbourne every week and typically 1 game in Adelaide, Queensland, Sydney or Perth. If you are really into the game, then you can easily go every week. It is also constantly on Free to air TV during the Australian evenings. The...

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

My understanding is that rugby has always had some prominence in Sri Lanka. According to wikipedia it is number 2 in Asia in terms of player numbers and they actually have a national rugby competition. One of my favourite Rugby memories was the sevens at the Commonwealth Games with Sri Lanka...

    Rebels 2018

Possession isn't a great stat really. If you score in a couple of phases or from turnover ball then you may have a lot less possession than the team that is just going nowhere slowly But worse than that. Brumbies had - more Metres - 506 to 498 - More defenders beaten - 25 to 12 - More...

Rebels vs Brumbies, Friday 9 March AAMI Park, 7.30pm

Hmmm .. JD worth 2 points over Lealiifano? McCaffrey worth 1.5 points more than Timani? Peni worth more than Naivalu?

    Rebels 2018

And it has been at least 2 days since the sponsor was talked about and deleted. The more this gets posted, the more boring things get and the more Daz has to delete ....

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

Really depends on your definition of success (and also how much money Twiggy is going to invest). What is proposed for this year will keep rugby in a better position in WA over 2018 and thus is at least a partial success already.

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

My reading is that this is just a series of exhibition matches to get WA Rugby, the Force and Force fans through 2018. The real launch will be next year.

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

But we will just end up creating our own game which no one else plays. If I want to do that I'll watch AFL thanks. That said, I am ok with time limits on scrums, lineouts, penalties and stuff like that, but 10 point tries and drop goals being worth different points based on where they are...

Rebels vs Brumbies, Friday 9 March AAMI Park, 7.30pm

Unfortunately it is a long weekend in Melbourne. This will drop the crowd. 11k would be a good result.

    The Wallabies Thread

England have only beaten NZ once since 2004 (15 games) and Ireland have only ever beaten NZ once (13 games since 2004). Australia have won 7, drawn 2 out of 42 games.

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

Sigh ... seriously not impressed if this is the path that things go down Another idea that has been floated is the introduction of 10-point tries, drop-goals with more value depending on how far an attempt is from and time restrictions on scrums. Former Wallabies captain Michael Lynagh is a...

Hehehe ... World Series Rugby ... Just a little bit of a gauntlet being thrown down there ...

    Force 2018

Depends on the discount. If significant enough, then it gives you the flexibility to buy what games you can actually go to.

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

I reckon post 2020. I suspect Twiggy and RA have come to an agreement that either the Force is back in SuperRugby in the next instance or if SuperRugby dies that the NRC combines with Twiggy Rugby to form the domestic competition. That said, I think SuperRugby is less likely to die than 12...
