    Shute Shield 2013

That is bizarre!! There is an iteresting editorial in the SMH today about the new CEO of the ARU which touches on Shute SHield and basically says that the ARU need to forget about a third tier (been there, done that, and failed) and focus on the life blood feeding the SS teams and the...

    Waratahs 2013

I dont recall Willie playing at all last year - maybe injured. Although I did see him play the odd colts game the year before and he is massive. I dont think uni colts used him as a jumper in the lineout though. Agree with Lee, the ultimate test for all these boys is to have some serious 1st...

    Wallabies v. Wales - 1 Dec

Agree barbarian. He did the little things well. Straighten, draw the man and pass. He made AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s attempt earlier in the game look very uncoordinated. Watched this game in total frustration. I am over Berrick - he was awful. As was Phibbs. Great final try. Well done KB (Kurtley Beale) to come from a long way...

Wallabies vs Italy - 25th Nov

I agree. It was a knock on that led to their try. Nevertheless, we were shit. As a Tahs supporter I seek to escape by watching the wallabies but it is just more of hte same.

    Shute Shield 2013

Bit of a circular situation here because I understand that the ABC is not yet committed to doing any games next year. Re next years comp structure I understand it is an 18 round comp (rather than 16 rounds) with a 8 team semi series. No details yet on how the 18 rounds will play out.

    Shute Shield 2013

Unfortunately Tahs have a long history of getting selection wrong then sticking with the wrong selection until hte player retires of old age

    Scrum Talk

The bottom line is that our scrum is very poor. We have one genuine scrummager - Robbo - who is looking abit jaded. One sometimes ok scrummager - Kepu- who was first game back from injury and struggled. Then two very average scrummagers. I have seen PR get pumped playing second grade against...

    Colts 2013

National academy for NSW has already been picked. Nothing to do with the U19 weekend. From what I have been told they are largely based around Aust U20s and club rugby performances. There is no list that I am aware of.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

I am sure the Connor's would be very amused at this given that their son Sam is about 5 foot 7 inches tall. A very good open side flanker but not a second rower.

Which clubs are the Class of 2012 going to?

I would hardly call T Bennetts a serial crock. Has been one of the best centres in Shute Shield over last two years up until going to Japan to play.

Quade telling it how it is

QUade lost me last night. Vaguaries about "the facilities" and the "environment" - wtf was he talking about. He crapped on about wanting to play for the reds and that he had signed a contract etc but has no intention of playing for the reds as he cant agree with the ARU about is top up contract...

    Rebels 2013

Sorry lads. I am getting my team mixed up. I agree that PAE has alot of potential. I was referring the the young fellow, OH, who joined rebels paying squad temporarily at end of last year but has now gone to the force.

    Rebels 2013

Not sure why Blake would have been let go? Because he is a terrible scrummager. Pick any game last year and watch him closely at scrum time. Unfortunately it doesnt appear that rebels have got anyone better. The young fellow they have picked specialises in walking backwards at scrum time or...

    Shute Shield 2012

As you know, first grade were minor premiers and second grade woods were a very strong team (finishing second in the regular season) - so yeh, plenty of depth. But he should push for higher honors this year.

    Shute Shield 2012

It was not a points issue. He is an Eastwood junior. He had played first grade colts for 3 years already and was looking for a change

    Shute Shield 2012

Eastwood First Grade Best Player - Miles McCaffery First Grade Rooky of the year - Jed Gillespie Second Grade Best PLayer - Jed Gillespie Third Grade Best Player - Blake Sutton (These three were all eligible to play colts this year) First Colts - Brad Curtis and Jackson Larkin Cant...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

I agree Lee. I saw him play for Joey's and he was unbelievable. I would be tempted to give him another go at 10 for the wallabies.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2012

Foketi is in yr 12. I went and watched the final and kept a close eye on Tuttle as I had been reading the posts about him. I agree with Lee that he didnt do enough in the final. The QLD backline actually did very little in the final and Tuttle seemed to be playing very wide, I think at outside...
