    The League Media

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/rugby-world-cup/rugby-league-can-learn-some-lessons-from-the-code-20151027-gkjbcu.html a very positive article from Roy, who isn't known for giving a great wrap to other codes. That said I am sure the union media will return the favour.

The try to win this years GF was similar to SA's try to beat Wales, involved the same mistake as SA try to beat wales. That said, Morgan had been running for ages and was quite fast threatening the line without being bought down, vermulan was moving not particularly fast and not overly...

The NZ/SA Rivalry, how fierce is it?

Is rugby as important in SA as NZ, I was under the impression that soccer was the main game there. The thing is, if NZ went to shit in rugby (unlikely) and ireland were all of a sudden dominant for the next ten years (i know even more unlikely) with SA floating around as the second most likely...

The NZ/SA Rivalry, how fierce is it?

What do NZ/SA really have anything to go on besides rugby. From the outside imo it appears to be a rivalry of convenience due to the strength of the sides. AUS/NZ have a lot more rivalry/commonality/shared interests then SA in generally.

RWC 2015 Semi Final 1 - NZ vs RSA Twickenham

IMO the all blacks generally play far more positive rugby going for the try, attacking the edges and playing clever plays looking for the try then what SA do, hence I go for them.

Realistically though, you only have to look at this thread to see the water under the bridge and why it would not happen. The bragging rights thing is interesting, but lets be honest, regardless of who plays, a one off game between two sides playing a funny hybrid game that they have never...

    The League Media

IMO it works only for both groups, if both groups are bringing the same numbers of eyeballs to the table. Hence why it would have to be Kangaroos v all blacks, because a game with wallabies wouldn't bring eyeballs to the table for league, not net gain. All blacks bring nz views and the brand...

TBH a better game would be the kangaroos v All blacks. Wallabies play the kiwis in the warm up :P

RWC QF 3 IRE v ARG (Millenium Stadium) 18th Oct 2300 AEDT

to be fair to the all blacks they exert more energy in a game of rugby then most NH sides, they actually .... run.... and it shows in their results. Also, for a race horse analogy, the pharlaps etc of this world need proper rest / recuperation / preparation etc. Whereas the workhorse / donkey...

Also Jarryd Hayne tweeted the wallaby game. Again, to be fair, its probably better then the coverage you would get from the soccer media (which in summer phil rothfield should be lumped with) and the AFL media.

RWC 2015 Semi Final 2 - Australia v Argentina Twickenham, Monday 19 October, 2:45 AEDT

Yes, two teams that have a combined a record of 58 Games 3 draws and 55 losses up against NZ (assuming they can do the business against SA, for our sake I hope they don't).

    Rising by losing. congratulations!

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

The only reason scotland were in the game was due to:- - missed conversions - an absolute muppet of a pass from a prop - an absolute muppet of a chip kick. We scored quality tries their try that was most due to their own skill was their first, and lets be honest it wasn't the most skillful try...

RWC QF 3 IRE v ARG (Millenium Stadium) 18th Oct 2300 AEDT

If four NH sides made it into the semis (in a SH WC) do you think we would hear the end of it. Of course not, the we play to much and are to tired for the pinnacle of our sport at home excuse is so weak its laughable.

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

I am not allowed to start a thread, so I was hoping someone could start one pointing out that the four best southern hemisphere nations are all through to the semis in a northern hemisphere world cup. Its also worth considering that maybe we weren't the only group of death with three southern...

To be fair The Grill team had Cheika on it this morning to talk up the win and the semi, though with the grill team it could have been a pretend chieka, who knows, I only heard the last bit of the interview. They also had a segment of gus warland cracking scotland jokes.. eitherway they...

As for line outs without lifting, I would go the whole hog, go back to soccer/basketball style throw in. You could get an nfl hail mary type play happening.

If a union scrum was allowed. under the rules the union team would just kick it out whenever running out of there minute or tackles to regain possession. League team would not be able to compete. The body shapes are just not there, not to mention the thousands of hours pushing a scrum...

RWC: IRE v FRA (POOL D) Mon 12th@2:45am

correct me if im wrong but, if ireland beat france and then france beat nz in the quarters we could be looking at a run of Scotland quarters Ireland Semi France / SA final Assuming we knock off wales of course. Obviously its all a bit more difficult in the northern hemisphere, but after a...
