Wallabies v USA Eagles, 5th September, Soldier Field, Chicago

Events arent only about maximising the percentage filled of a stadium. They would have also considered the rental costs, availability and im sure other factors not mentioned. 30k is a lot more then 18k and keep in mind most of the fans are the same sort of us eagles rugby supporters. Also...

Wallabies v USA Eagles, 5th September, Soldier Field, Chicago

I dont see how 30k for a USA v Wallabies could be considered a failure, especially in america! If anything it is a resounding success, maybe not as much as some had hoped, but thinking the wallabies would be as attractive as the all blacks is like thinking everton would be as an attractive...

The concern is more the other way around rugby getting into bed with nazis the reason league brings it up more then sa, is because French league was going quite well until the nazi rugby theft. League never prospered in sa, to many people taking to much pride in their social or skin status

    Rugby TV ratings 2015

tbh that is suggesting the knife only cuts one way. as soccer becomes more popular to play and the a league more daggy to watch, it is arguable that, that 19% will only decrease. Not to mention potential upticks in the AFL and Rugby League from the soccer playing population.

South African Rugby - Proper Dinkum Ridgy Didge Broken

Shouldn't quotas be irrelevant given the population make up of south Africa.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

league unlimited and all sports forums have those threads, but tbh they are a very small percentage of the forum. IE the fightclub you have to login to see.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

I read a lot of forums :(. This is quite frankly the most inaccurate post I have ever read in all my time. the post uses the word offensive, a good word to describe this post in its entirety and what infers on a certain part of the population who actually believe it. Rugby League did not use...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

If league didn't exist I still have plenty of other sports to follow. No real biggie. Not bagging union, but in Australia it has not appeared to want to grow into markets outside certain demographics... but you are right about unions success internationally, it has done well in this regard...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Don't know really, they were pretty good in the early days of super rugby and I liked their mascot, kind of like braveheart. Doing alright this year too. I sort of pick and stick with my sporting teams. Obviously I don't mind the waratahs due to being local and kurtley beale being a bit of...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Easy to speculate but we both know which is more likely ;)

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

If league was never created, imo AFL would be like what the NFL is in America and union would be about as strong as union is in America. The simple fact is union has at no stage shown any real interest of growing its supporter base outside certain demos.

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

TOCC - Re quade cooper controlling the game, I agree but that's his job, his profession and the most highest chance of winning games. He is doing what he is paid to do. What he wants to do and most people want to do when they think of any form of rugby whether in the backyard, school or...

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

The ball doesn't necessarily need to go wide, you could pop it inside, go short outside, go outside then back in again. You could have the eventual contact point in the exact same spot as a pick and drive thereby nullifying the point re potential turnover, but putting 1 or 2 clever passes...

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

Earn the right to fling it wide... what a load of bullcrap. the backs could just set deeper... Why don't they need to earn the right to go wide in sevens? The backs could set deeper if they need more time and space. The rules/coaching strategy as it stands pays more love and percentage...

LOL the logic in this thread. My dad was a good customer of coles. Thus whenever there is a milk shortage I should get first dibs on the milk. Soon this thread will break into an argument about how the whole world has gone to shit because products from the land haven't inflated as well...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

the irony of mentioning a bloke who was involved in a theft? break and entry? who then used RL fear mongering to get union to pay him and play him more with this statement:- The truth is rugby union in Australia has to long looked at itself in competition with league instead of just looking...

3 teams cant be called an international scene? lol the same logic could be applied to union in comparison to soccer. The truth is its an international scene its just lesser then rugby unions at the moment and may well be that way forever. May not.
