Not sure Lucas will be one of those BR but Harrison could well be.

Very true but in the first 2 games the pack wasn't the issue and I suspect they won't be the issue this weekend. There would have been some quiet rockets sent up a few of them. Then the D ah! the bloody D I think that is where the Irish will make the most of a poor system. Still feeling...

Good luck with that. You don't get picked for the #2 rugby nation in the world if your ability to play is raw and inexperienced. I watched him and we would crawl over broken glass for a raw and inexperienced player like him. Maybe the Irish are not like some of us here who are concerned about...

I watched his play, if he is raw I don't know how you define Lolesio.

I hope the boys can switch on and stay on for 80 against Ireland. They looked like they didn't know where the switch was against Scotland, plenty of walking around and prior to one try one player had his back to the opposition, a schoolboy error. A new defence coach for next year?

Just reading Nick Bishops review of the Scottish match and agree with this paragraph. Every coach has an inbuilt bias, a slight favouritism between play with the ball or play without it. It is not a criticism, it is a statement of where interest ignites and curiosity climbs. Schmidt’s bias has...

Same thing, in AUs rugby you have to be able to dream a bit even if it turns into a nightmare.

FP I disagree, I think we will go better against Ireland than we did against Scotland.

Has Noah been that much better? We haven't had a tackling 10 for a long time.

I have not heard anything about Kaliea, how did he go? I was so disgusted by the time he came on I wasn't watching closely.

Haven't seen much evidence of that combo.

I think Schmidt is backing Lolesio at 10 expecting that giving him time to settle into the position he will improve. I hope he's right but suspect Lol's problems are endemic to his personality ie he gets a bit gun shy when the going gets tough.

I recollect that he started Lolesio a lot early on then went looking for better 10. Searching Australia for talent is not limited to Rennie, most of the coaches since McQueen have tried many options looking for a decent 10, 6, 12, et al

True and we have all seen that, but Lol was very poor against Scotland yet Schmidt gave Donaldson 5 mins, probably due to what KOB suggested. At this time we have no idea if Donaldson would be better in tight situations. I think he doesn't have a better skill set than Lol but he is steadier in...

    Ireland v Wallabies - Sunday 1 Dec, 2:10 AEDT

Sensible KOB but something is nagging at the back of my mind. We went down that rabbit hole of putting our faith in him during Rennie's time and there has been little change. I am not convinced Donaldson would have faired any better but we cannot go into a game where Lol is under serious...

He was very good, best back (a winger) maybe a bit of a stretch...

Good thinking KOB my only reply is that we are always open to that issue as you can't cover everyone in the team. All he's doing is reducing the odds and not doing what he states he wants. The game is risky and he is doing a balancing act but that ain't new in Aus rugby.

    Ireland v Wallabies - Sunday 1 Dec, 2:10 AEDT

I don't think starting Donaldson is a major setback for Lolesio, more horses for courses. As Schmidt repeats often we need a team with some experience but how much experience has Donaldson got out of this tour? How will he be next season if lolesio goes down? We need them both until a good 10...

I think Schmidt will start Donaldson for this one, much tighter game than Scotland and being able to tackle in your channel becomes more important. Don't think Edmed will be on the bench but wouldn't object to it either.
