    NSW AAGPS 2017

I fear you may be disappointed on 2 fronts Sparkle Motion. I predict a thumping today for Newington. Scots too good across the park in every facet of play..............oh and Yassmin to add a hat-rick to the 4 tries he scored last weekend. Make sure you take plenty of tissues:( Let's touch base...

    NSW AAGPS 2017

And in a few years time Joeys current first XV players will reminisce on how they watched the first XV beat Scots way back in 2009 when they were wee lads at Junior school in Year 5. ;)

    NSW AAGPS 2017

Here's my suggestion Eric. If you want to experience the passionate heartland of GPS rugby go to J versus I. That's Joeys versus Riverview at Hunters Hill. Always a close game with plenty of passion. If you want to see the finest GPS team and experience the best match day pie in Sydney go to E...

    NSW AAGPS 2017

It was indeed a very pleasant afternoon Azzuri. Scots too good across the park. Riverview had a sizeable pack but were pushed around all afternoon by the Scots scrum. Scots much fitter in the forwards and slicker in the backs. I was wrong about Yassmin scoring a hat-trick though............he...

    NSW AAGPS 2017

Joeys by 6 in an upset over a lack lustre Kings. Scots by 20 overpowering View in the forwards. Yassmin unstoppable out wide with 3 tries. New by 18 despite a valiant effort from Shore they are outweighed and outmuscled in the set piece.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2017

You obviously don't have a boy at school. The championships are across the school holidays. Late July just misses the school holidays and is the time at which HSC trial exams take place in NSW. Most of these boys are in Year 12 and already scrambling to catch up on their studies with the...

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2017

Harry had a great tournament. He should be encouraged by the week. He may have been a tad unlucky but to be fair to the selectors there were a lot of good back rowers on show this week. More than in recent years. Harrys day will come. The cream always rises to the top.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2017

I hope so there are a few ACT boys that deserve to be rewarded for their performances this week.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2017

Ultimately what I think matters little. It's the selectors that count. Fact is the NSW 1 backline was very pedestrian yesterday with the ball being shuffled sideways. Happened time and time again from perfect line out ball straight from Frost into the hands of the scrum half. It's up to the fly...

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2017

Ouch! No, I just don't think we'll be seeing a NSWelshman in the 10 shirt for Australia this year. But surprised that you don't believe that Williams and Yassmin have had good tournaments.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2017

Went out to watch the games today. A few observations. A great afternoon for Queensland and a dismal showing from NSW. NSW 2 were competitive but the QLD 1 win was a very fair reflection of the game. Qld 1 more urgent and just that bit better in every facet of the game. And the NSW 1 loss to QLD...

    CAS Rugby 2017

You should try and be humorous though Hasbeen rather than boorish. It is always preferable to bring a smile to others rather than a self satisfied smile to oneself. I will indeed lighten up though....there is a week of excellent schoolboy rugby in store when the best of GPS and CAS come together...

    CAS Rugby 2017

Hasbeen and Sideline View, enjoy the win over GPS. Thoroughly deserved. A lot of good players this year. No need for the inferiority complex any longer, you can finally stand tall my friends. CAS rugby has come of age.......the question is have you? Time to stop the childish jibes. Or is that a...

    NSW AAGPS 2017

You are right Honey Badger Shore always seem to lift for Scots. Let's hope we have another thriller this Saturday A hard match will be far better preparation for Round 1 the following week at Hunters Hill.

    2017 AAGPS/CAS Combined "Comp"

All valid points BrumbieJack. For the record Joeys runs 41 teams Scots/ Shore/ Riverview all run 31-33 teams Newington and Kings 26/27 So 23 teams is a bit lighter in numbers. If rugby is in ascendancy at Waverley then there would be less of an issue as the numbers increase. It's good to see...

    2017 AAGPS/CAS Combined "Comp"

So the pre season CAS/GPS trials are over and what have we learned. Here's my 2 penny worth. Waverley have a highly competitive side but it appears to hinge on a few high class individuals. This throws into question the longer term prospect of them remaining competitive in a new competition...
