    NSW AAGPS 2017

It was me...guilty as charged. It wasn't meant in anything other than a rugby sense though. Fairly new to the GPS/ CAS thing and just something I'd picked up on in the 3 or so years I've been supporting. CAS sides desperate to be recognised and seen as good as GPS teams. A few years ago...

    NSW AAGPS 2017

There appear to be a lot of very upbeat CAS supporters venting years of grievance as self defined second class citizens. My view is that the results are very much as expected. There appear to be 5 competitive GPS teams and 2 from CAS. This has likely been the case for a number of years. The GPS...

Joeys do indeed have a good side this year Rob Hart. I was impressed by the number 9 as well. The half back combination was an area where Joeys excelled and Scots were found wanting. Fast reliable ball makes the world of difference.

I've heard good things about Waverley this year. Joeys have a competitive side. The test for Waverley will be whether they have the fitness levels required. Waverley teams have at times been a bit short of match fitness early season. Joeys will be relentless. It will indeed be interesting

A disappointing day at Bellevue Hill for the Scots faithful. Make no mistake Joeys thoroughly deserved their win but Scots were their own worst enemy. Sloppy line out work, dropped passes and fumbles at critical times. This was a classic Joeys side of recent years. Well drilled, energetic and...

Interesting observation that neatly encapsulates the problem Queenslanders have (including the National selectors). They struggle to recognise talent and ability south of the border. For the record in 2014 Scots played The Southport school in a pre season trial and gave them a hiding. That was a...

Unlikely. Smith once back from injury had a great end of season. Solid as a rock in defence and threatening in attack. Savala has been injured all of this season but was a standout performer in his U15 year and is big for his age. He is a talented player and will be in the hunt for a place.

Impressive percentages but they don't seem to be translating too well to premierships. Nine years and counting now between premierships. In that time Scots, Kings, Newington and Riverview have all won. Where are things going awry?.............be interested to get your perspective.

Thanks Joker.....however you appear to have mistakenly included a link to an old article from 2013. Either that or you are childishly exhibiting a bad case of sour grapes. No need to post back.........apology accepted.

It certainly is turning out to be a great GPS year that will go down to the wire. Congratulations to Newington, Shore and Joeys. All 3 of the mid season favourites beaten. The fat lady has returned to the dressing room and won't be seen now for another fortnight.
