I can't fathom how the ABs didn't cop a penalty there. Same for Savea's turnover, which was clear as day from the side. The officiating is so bad.

If the rule is "no huddles" then fucking announce it and enf9rce it across the board. While you are at it provide a set amount of time to throw the ball in. This is ridiculous. The sport is a joke.

As a Canadian Aussie fan this is basically the only game I don't have to wake up at 4AM for (this game is 1015 pm). Perth mid day games all the way baby!!

I think the average age for a RWC winning 23 is like 28. The Wallabies have 9 players starting that are 24 and under. The only real hardened veterans in the starting 15 are Koriobete and Kerevi.

    Wallabies 2023

I find it hard to believe that neither Rennie nor Jones would have them on a modern S&C program. Maybe the Super Rugby clubs aren't as good with it, IDK. Rennie/Jones are smart and top level coaches. They know how important S&C is to the modern game. Unless there's some compelling evidence...

Not typical, but could they sub in Hooper/McKnight at say 50-55 mins? Front Row - replace (3) Skelton can go 80, but should be subbed (4) Frost - 80 IMO Hooper for McReight/M.Hooper (5) Valetini - 80 Holloway - 80

I thought the forwards looked much better last game in loose play, up until the last 25 minutes, which was a shit show. The only one that looked "bad" was Arnold IMO. Main faults were set piece and falling off late (fatigue). IMO there isn't that much between all the various options so...

As others have said it seemed like other locks (Neville, Swain etc.) Offered more than we've seen from Arnold. Though perhaps he's still getting used to the setup - I've never seen him play in Europe so I have no idea if he can play much better than this. The maul has to be improved. There is...

Skelton has been great thus far. Easily the best Australian lock and one of their better forwards in general. Is he the best lock in the world? I don't think so. But beyond the absolute best (Itoje, Etzebeth, S.Barrett last game) I don't think he's that far off the mark. He's at least, at bare...

He hasn't done much yet, that's for sure.

Kellaway was light years better than Wright. He didn't kick a grubber to the other team at the half from his own try line, for one. I thought Petaia was generally fine at 13 and Kerevi looked more fleet of foot than last week. All of them are also playing with guys they've never played with...

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

That's certainly what it looked like having seen a lot of guys break their ribs playing rugby. Wasn't his back, didn't get the wind knocked out of him, wasn't his shoulder, clutching his sternum, trouble bending at waist. Best possible scenario is some kind of horrific bruise similar to a hip...

You wonder what the NZ strategy is if Australia is complete shite. Play a million games against their own Super Rugby teams and maybe the Fijian drua? How much appeal will that have to fans of Super Rugby in NZ? And will it prepare their players for test rugby? Join a Japanese league and beat...

They were far from clinical. Gordon's kicking was terrible. Overall you judge him as playing OK given it is his first test start and he had some great plays, but the kicking was a 1/10. That's not test level rugby. The goal line try: not test rugby. The stuffed mauls: not test rugby...

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

Thoughts: thought the ABs collapsed a maul at a critical time and Barnes missed it. I also didn't think Ardie ever allowed Uelese to release the ball. Those are the breaks, but that's critical in the 10 meter line and the ABs already committed about 5 pens inside their own 10. - Richie Arnold...

If you could combine the two of them you'd have a test rugby player. Right now neither are a test rugby #10. Quade is old, slow, doesn't tackle. Carter can't kick - he makes Bernard Foley look like Jonny Wilkinson. It is what it is. Pick your poison.

He's played what, 3 games of rugby in the past year after a catastrophic injury?

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

I don't know how you can call it soft, but it is unlucky. Are the Wallabies players playing more minutes? That and constantly losing and playing defense (in Super Rugby and Test Rugby) are the only reasons I can think of. But ruptured Achilles x 3, multiple ACLs, broken arms, it just seems like...

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

I understand the reasoning, but blatant and deliberate and less blatant, possibly not deliberate, the result is the exact fucking same: killing ball in an attacking position near the try line. It shouldn't make any difference. They really should be keeping track of pens inside the 22 or 10 and...

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

Pretty hard to win when your starting prop ruptures his achilles and his replacement breaks his ribs and can't play. And Bell himself was down for a considerable period of time. Fuck me the Wallabies can't catch a break. It'd be nice to see them play a normal game with a full-ish roster, but it...
