    Wallabies 2023

I don't think you can blame Rennie too much for Italy given the ridiculous volume of injuries and number of test matches they had in short succession. The same people would be moaning about young players not getting enough game time in test matches. You can't have it both ways. And then against...

    Wallabies 2023

Hodge and Beale aren't constantly injured. Has O'Connor played anything other than 10 recently? If not then he might not be viewed as being as versatile. Either way if your RWC hinges on any of these three playing a central role, barring injury, you probably aren't going to do well. Beale...

Wallabies v Wales, Principality Stadium, Sun 27th November, 2.15am AEST

They don't add much do they? I can't say they do one thing particularly well.

Wallabies v Wales, Principality Stadium, Sun 27th November, 2.15am AEST

The bench was immense, as was Mark N (Nawaqanitawase). They've built a ton of depth over this tour. Tate, Mark N (Nawaqanitawase), Jock, Hanigan, Lolesio, Lonergan, Samu were all immense in the last 20 minutes. 90% of the Wales offense was off scrum/mauling penalties.

I like Rennie, but it is madness to not play Tate instead of Gordon.

Wallabies v Wales, Principality Stadium, Sun 27th November, 2.15am AEST

Agreed. I'd love to know why he picks Gordon over Tate because I can't begin to understand it. I can only guess that Gordon is better at implementing whatever Rennie is asking for and maybe Tate goes off script or something. To the casual fan (me) it looks like Tate is the better player now...

    Wallabies 2023

I'm not sure Eddie and USA would be a good fit. The man can coach so I don't doubt that he would find success, but you are dealing with semi-amateur players, low funding, and geographically dispersed players. I think he'd find that extremely frustrating. You also have to be a bit of a...

Wallabies v Wales, Principality Stadium, Sun 27th November, 2.15am AEST

They are covered given the starters/bench and the fact that Petaia, Hodge and Wright can move around. If 12/13 gets injured they move Petaia to 12, Wright to 11, Campbell to 15. If Donaldson or Wright get injured you bring on Lolesio/Campbell. If Petaia/Mark N (Nawaqanitawase) get injured you bring on...

Wallabies v Wales, Principality Stadium, Sun 27th November, 2.15am AEST

I can see the logic from Rennie in terms of using Wright at 15. At this point he is the only back three player with any level of experience playing for the Wallabies. If you have Jock-Mark N (Nawaqanitawase)-Petaia that's basically 10 total test caps at their respective positions (Petaia has played in the...

Wallabies v Wales, Principality Stadium, Sun 27th November, 2.15am AEST

36:20 The commentator says "Hooper got hit in the head and is holding his head." Ref never saw it or checked it, despite the TMO calling in for a penalty at the same breakdown to Fainga.

    Wallabies 2023

It seems impossible to figure that out barring an in-depth look at their S&C (and their peers for a point of comparison) or complaints about their training/S&C from someone on the inside (player, coach, whatever). It's been a wide range of problems: knees, achilles, ankle, concussion, I think...

All they need is one outstanding surgeon and one outstanding physio and they are a shoe in for Gold.

Can you imagine if they all went down while playing Italy? People would have screamed bloody murder.

Wallabies v Ireland, Sun 20th Nov 7am AEDT

Porecki looked totally disoriented and concussed well before he came off. Did anyone see him hit his head and what time? He might have been playing on Zombie mode, which explains his uncharacteristic play.

Wallabies v Ireland, Sun 20th Nov 7am AEDT

They are playing 5 games on this tour and the Italy game was a deliberate capitulation. They still should have won, but they trotted out a C level lineup to preserve the better players. They need the game for $$ so they basically trotted out Australia A. It is what it is, but the ultimate goal...

Wallabies v Ireland, Sun 20th Nov 7am AEDT

Sacking Rennie right now is absolute madness. They had a kick to tie at the end, but went for the W. Losing to Italy with a 4th string lineup is annoying, but not worrisome in terms of the overall team. They have cleaned up their breakdown work as evidence by multiple times with 10+ phases...

    Wallabies 2023

It would be madness to not select one of those players, assuming Quade is healthy. Hooker is the position where they are noticeably weaker than other top sides with Porecki/Fainga. If Latu can cut out the nonsense then they are in good shape. Also if Tawera Kerr Barlow is someone up for...

I missed 10 minutes. What happened to Tupou?

Wallabies v Ireland, Sun 20th Nov 7am AEDT

More good than bad to take away from that from an Australian perspective. Mark N (Nawaqanitawase) and Petaia were outstanding. Discipline the main problem again. Four consecutive neck rolls. That keep Tupou off, makes them play with 13, negates a try. Ugh. Injury concerns continue. Kellaway, Porecki...

The I think it is a nonsense thing to do, but the ref let Ireland milk on earlier that was identical. Consistently inconsistent officiating as per usual.
