    Women's Rugby

Sadly all the self proclaimed Walleroo (and other female sports for that matter) supporters on here and social media do not actually support them in any other manner than a few virtue signalling keystrokes online. They do not attend the games, buy the tickets year on year, buy and wear the...

    Women's Rugby

What gold mine? None of the aforementioned women's sports are profitable. They are a financial black hole because paying fans have no interest in paying for the product. Look at the WNBA in the US.... running for over 25yrs and have never been self funding, in fact have made losses every year...

This Super Rugby Draft proposal thing?

You could make it work if everyone bought in, players and clubs. A general Super Rugby draft for non contracted players who weren't overly happy with their current offer could opt in and test the market with the fallback being the retention offer they have. The draft could be made quite the entertainment...

    Waratahs 2024

Probably not exactly for this thread, but just had an FB memory flashback come up for Tahs V BIL's 15/6/2013. Still a few from each squad going round, It was a massive night with the SFS sold out.... plenty of beer and banter at the ground!

    Australian Rugby / RA

I'm fairly certain the Tahs would have room in their cap if needed. Highly likely to be losing Hooper, Latu, Beale, Nadolo to name a few. With Hooper and Beale gone, that would free up enough you'd expect.

    Wallabies 2023

You could throw in Latu or BPN @ hooker to give some hard nosed pilfering, also possibly someone like Liam Wright @ 6 to give you another turnover guy without losing too much in the Lineout. lose a bit of power, but overcompensated elsewhere... also a captaincy option..

    Waratahs 2023

That would be a tremendous get if true... assuming we also pick up the other big fella "Miles Amatosero" and can retain Holloway and potentially Hanigan, we are looking a much more formidable team next year with Sua'ali'i to follow in 2025.

    Wallabies 2023

I think what most people are forgetting about the Suáali'i deal is that they (ARU etc) won't be paying him a cent for at least 18mths. In the last week he has probably almost covered a years worth salary via free marketing, eyeballs and general visibility of Rugby Australia which enhances...

    Wallabies 2023

Sadly many people these days equate accountability/expectation to bullying. If you've watched the Michael Jordan documentary "The Last Dance" you could probably draw parallels between MJ's expectations with Eddies coaching style

I also added the following post which you may have missed... I don't know the bloke, he may have a fantastic attitude etc. Was just posting an alternate to the prevailing groupthink that there it's always a failure in talent ID.

    Aussie Player Exodus

As a business owner, the key hiring point is attitude, you can train the rest. Poor/lazy/entitled attitude then it's jog on..... Super Rugby clubs are business's where culture is the key driver to success. Seriously, if the bloke can't be bothered looking after himself with all the free information and...

    Aussie Player Exodus

You could also interpret as ARU/ Super Rugby franchises decline to sign "overweight, unfit rugby player who won't stop eating shit or improve his own fitness (like amateur era international players somehow managed on their own time) unless he gets paid to." Also read as regular millennial entitlement...

K Beale has been removed from the Tahs website squad page..... RWV also now gone. Funnily though, no slot with M Hooper either...

    Waratahs 2023

Plenty of options, which is a great position to be in. Tahs could potentially have both Beale and Nadolo on the bench with Pietsch on the wing and Harrison at 15. Backrow is always a high attrition spot, so there will be plenty of starting opportunities with both injuries and rotation for Gamble...

    Waratahs 2023

With the final 2023 Tahs squad announced, this is my first crack at their starting 23... assuming everyone is fit for selection. A couple of line ball calls... Every player in the starting team with international caps, but we are so thin at lock. We should talk to the Brumbies about a swap of...

    Waratahs 2023

Very strong back-row depth at the Tahs... who else would we let go? Hooper, Gamble, Gleeson, Swinton, Harris, Hanigan all quality. Looks a very strong squad pretty strong everywhere except still incredibly thin in the lock department. Unfortunately also big list of L/T injured that we've just...
