    Waratahs 2025

Bell, HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes), Lambert and Hayden Thomson Stringer are all definitely Super Rugby standard... Tupou and Gibbon would be excellent additions. Holz Botha and Ross are all not at that level unfortunately.

    Waratahs 2025

The Tahs aren't playing games, ARU writes the cheques now. Coleman and Doorn have both been quoted as saying they aren't in a strong position to contract players atm due to the uncertainty of the coaching, possible rebels players etc.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

Rebel fans, (and I count myself as one btw) should be directing their anger at the directors who totally own this disaster. Rebels have been funded by RA no differently to all the other Super Rugby outfits. Instead of being transparent and owning the problem, they lied, cooked the books and were just...

    Waratahs 2024

They played very well in my opinion, with effort and intent... However in rugby you need a competitive scrum to at least win your own feed. You also need a functioning lineout to win your own throws. In this case the tahs had 3 club players on the bench, an injured prop (Ross) and their 4th...

    Waratahs 2024

Losing Bell and Gamble during the week didn't help..... It was always going to be challenging at scrum time when we start with Jack Barrett and Tom Ross in the front row.... seriously those boys were both penalised 2-3 times each in general play not even counting scrum penalties... Then have...

    Waratahs 2024

Team named for Rd 1. Fairly solid, but if Edmed falls over we are in serious trouble both from a flyhalf and goal kicking perspective.... also very thin in the front row now with Lambert out for the year, Holz still months away and Ross out for the next few weeks... WARATAHS (1-15): Angus...

    Wallabies 2024

Josh Nasser.... if this guy can get back to full fitness I think he's a Wallaby in waiting.. was killing it before the injuries

    Australian Rugby / RA

Classic case of Qld/ACT self interest before the greater good... don't care if the ship sinks as long as I drown last..... sad.

    Aussie Player Exodus

The French have the top 14 professional competition and a 16 professional team Div. 2 competition. They have 30 professional squads to fill, so assuming 40 players per squad they have around professional 1200 contracts available. We have less than 200......

    League Targets

Updated reporting now suggests it's actually $500k p.a.

    Waratahs 2024

As we all know, though, every Super Rugby team can put out a very handy 1st 15, it's the 16 - 23+ depth chart that generally determines who wins anything.... And we've still got big holes to fill at lock, TH and o/s backs if we get any injuries to our top-liners. Looking forward to squad announcements...

I was referring to Moli specifically, but thanks for missing the point entirely regarding rep selection. Added thanks for the insult. You're a class act mate

    Western Force 2024

I've heard that player inclusion in representative sides can be severely hampered when you have your franchise booted from the competition and have to start again & rebuild from the bottom up! Player inclusion in representative sides can also be severely hampered by ineligibility .... e.g...

    Western Force 2024

The reasons/stories are completely irrelevant and nothing specifically to do with the Brumbies. It's about having starting quality players from Australia starting somewhere and Super Rugby clubs then not having to import non qualified players to fill Super Rugby spots. We should not have to have clubs import TH...

    Wallabies 2023

That's a great sign, but I'd expect there's a large difference between golf fit and test match rugby fit for a fractured scapula

    Western Force 2024

This is what happens when the local talent is warehoused in some clubs. For example: Rebels now have 3 wallaby TH's in T Tupou, Pone and Sam Talaki. They could all be potentially starting at different Super Rugby clubs. Brumbies have 3 Wallaby hookers and 4 Wallaby locks (if you count T Hooper) Tahs...

    Women's Rugby

I agree, the big difference however is that the AFL (and FIFA for that matter) were/are making very large profits. Bit more difficult when you're barely breaking even as is the ARU....

    Women's Rugby

Not sure what your point is here, but comparing soccer to rugby is a bit of apples/oranges.... Men's professional rugby is barely profitable across the world, whilst professional soccer is killing it. Unfortunately the bandwagon Matilda soccer fans jumped off on Wednesday and won't be back until...
