    Rebels 2012

If they lock down JOC (James O'Connor) I would suggest they start him at 10. a backline of 9. Phipps 10. JOC (James O'Connor) 11. Vuna 12. Inman 13. Gerrard 14. Kingi 15. Beale Looks well-balanced, defensively solid, playmakers and attacking flair spread accross the backline. Looks good to me.

The case for Anthony Fainga'a to wear the Green and Gold

I dont think his "hard straight running" will be effective against the ABs or the BOKs who are great defenders. His hard runs work at super level but come test time i don't think he will be getting over the gain line very effectively and would probably be prone to getting turned over. I do...

    James Stannard

Great find. Just wondering how old Stannard is?

    Wallabies Trinations Squad

Yes defensively he was superb! Digby, Lucus and Fainga were great at shutting down SBW and Fruen. If you want a defensive option in the centres then A.Fainga should get first pick (over barnes who is very fragile at the moment). Fainga still lacks something in attack though.

    Wallabies Trinations Squad

Completely agree about the bench bring filled with impact players rather then players who just missed out. Trialling JOC (James O'Connor) at 12 is also a must.

Rd 15 Reds MOM v Crusaders

This was a hard one 3. Samo --- would be happy seeing him in a wallaby jersey 2. Cooper --- freakish kick returns/offloads 1. A.Fainga -- so strong on defence

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

Apparently so does Digby who managed to run him down. Who ever said that guy was slow? Does this mean Diggers is faster then AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) who was run down by Fruen?

J'OC won't be playing 12 for the Wallabies

This thread is turning into "who should be wallaby 12". For me it should be "Deans' reasoning for selecting players is shit house". Your argument is very valid. But lets not forget we are not arguing that Gits is a better choice as he has more experience. We arguing that Deans is wrong in...

J'OC won't be playing 12 for the Wallabies

Yes a rugged barging type centre would be perfect outside Cooper. But the reality is we don't have any. A.Fainga doesn't have the strength to be a successful barge centre at Test level and Carter lacks a bit of everything. Mortlock is far from his former self. I can't see any of these players...

J'OC won't be playing 12 for the Wallabies

Given Barnes and Gits are our incumbents and realistically our only other options for 12 apart from JOC (James O'Connor) then Deans' comments just don't makes sense. If defence was the real issue then Barnes gets first pick. But Deans has expressed that JOC (James O'Connor) would be able to handle 80minutes, well at the...

J'OC won't be playing 12 for the Wallabies

That really is a stupid comment by Deans. I'm pretty sure Gits is smaller then JOC (James O'Connor) and Barnes is a bit taller but he's a twig compared to other players. Deans should have said something more sensible like "he lacks test experience at 12, so playing him for 80mins there is unlikely". But to say...

    Highlanders to go green?

that explain the choice in jerseys then. Except for the Force. Why the hell did they go blue when they could have used black and gold. Everybody looks good in black!
  13. Viking

    Highlanders to go green?

It is a bit silly every team has blue. They really should be: Reds: Red Tahs: Light Blue Rebels: Dark Blue Brumbies: White Force: Black Brumbies can just switch current home and away jerseys. Force should change as there is no reason for them to be Blue and I actually like the look of the...

    Wallaby Outside Centre

Don't speak too soon, he'll be tested this week against SWB and Fruen. If he has a blinder you never know he might get a look in.

If you can ignore Gerrard for being slow then u can ignore Mortlock too!

    Baabaas Squad v. England

haha fuck didnt even know Willie left league to play union. Its not the smartest rugby move by the baa baa's but geeezzzz i want to see this game now just to see Willie get owned! So must be a marketing move!

    Wallaby Outside Centre

Yeh deep down we all know its AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) but still he's not a very good answer if its 24 pages and still going. What happens if AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) gets injured?

    Wallaby Outside Centre

@Darkhouse.. I would argue that Horne would actually fit into the backline better on attack then AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). Sure AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is a proven player to break the line or get over the advantage line consistently but he is also a ball hog. Horne also has the ability to get over the gain line but he has one thing AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)...

    Wallaby Outside Centre

I have to agree with Ash, While Horne has shown a lot of potential I doubt very much he will be in Test level form come RWC. He has not played all year and the year before he only had a handful of games. Maybe if he had one or two good games in super rugby and then the whole tri-nations he could...
