I actually agree with much of that. I think it may be entirely possible to be seeing the likes of Horwitz and Stewart pop up in the centres next season with Kellaway on one of the wings.

    Shute Shield 2015

Yeah I agree with that with the exception of the one he missed after No.14 scored. His lining up was just off. It's something that really annoys me. I can consistently kick the ball over from the sideline on my wrong side by just making sure I have it lined up right but the professionals can't...

    National Rugby Championship 2015

Volavola is Volavola is probably the biggest loss. It severely limits our playmaker depth.

    Shute Shield 2015

He nailed what was a clutch kick. He's actually looks like one of the more assured kickers I've seen at any level in Aus Rugby of late. I really liked the angles given to us on the kicks. His lining up of all his kicks were nearly perfect. They should be shown to the kickers at Wallaby level...

    He was pretty poor.

    Rugby TV ratings 2015

I noticed the inconsistencies in the camera work yesterday. Reminded me of the first game they ran. But apart from that try have been very good. I wonder how much it costs them to run that operation? Would be great if they could carry at least one NRC game a week as well. The sponsorship growth...

True but they were spread over four teams. Going back to the club grounds should see more people turning out this season.

    Shute Shield 2015

It was frustrating at times watching the Wicks fail to finish off some good play. But all credit to Manly. They executed better and earned that win.

    Rebels 2016

I caught a bit of Stapleton on the World Series. I have to say in the few times he got a bit of clear air he often made those chasing look pedestrian.

    Rebels 2016

Damn right. To put that into perspective. Carlin Isles the man dipped 'the fastest man in Rugby' has run a best time of 10.12. Which would have been good enough to make the Olympic semi finals in London. However, Isles didn't run that time until his senior year in College. For a 16 year old to...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Actually, the AMNRL was bought by Grand Prix Entertainment and then promptly killed off. The USARL split off before the sale but the remaining clubs jumped ship not long after. RugbyLaw has nothing to do with League and from what I've been told have not interest in it.

And Rugby people will go to see this game. I'm sorry but the brand has a significant pull. If they were playing this game in Houston, San Jose, Denver or even Philly they'd sell it out. The only other team that may be able to draw a crowd anywhere near the ABs are the Boks.

Randwick and Western Suburbs are playing another exhibition game at Pirtek Stadium in October.

They were never going to get anywhere near 60k like the ABs did. First of all, as much as we might wish it the Wallabies brand just isn't anywhere near that of the ABs particularly in the States. Add in the fact that the level of marketing has been nowhere near that of last year. There also...

They could probably get a boost if they actually broadcast nationally as well.

    Shute Shield 2015

I've only seen a couple of games with Hodge playing and he looks a good prospect. Has a boot on him that's for sure. From what I've seen he needs probably a good NRC and maybe another club season to develop his game and perhaps a little more physically as well. He's already a big lump but I...

    Shute Shield 2015

As tough as this is to say as a both a Wicks and a Tahs fan watching Horwitz today has me thinking that he really needs to be chasing more opportunity to play at a higher level fairly soon. While I'm happy for him to be in the Tahs stable I think he needs more opportunity to develop further...

    Shute Shield 2015

That's probably the packs average age.

    Shute Shield 2015

The backline would certainly average 21 y.o. The pack is were the age jumps. But probably not by too much. I'm fairly sure that I played PSSA reps with Toa Asa (knew him as Junior so unless he's his doppleganger) as a kid so he at least 28.

    Shute Shield 2015

Yeah, they didn't give Eastwood much room and had several of them rattled. Considering their such a young squad that defensive style is more complimentary of their attacking game plan. Something I've noticed this season that impressed me most is that the Wicks pack has developed some starch. In...
