    Waratahs v Chiefs - Round 14 - Friday 27 May 2016

Haven't watched enough of the chiefs - do they always commit so few to the "ruck" defensively? The majority of Tahs ball in the second half was only ever a tackle. Just gave the Tahs so much quick ball - and they were good enough to get over the advantage line with it.

    Rugby 360 - Foxsports

AFL 360 is usually the top rating show on fox during the week. To keep that going, they will make enough content if they have to

    Reds 2017

To be fair, going through the current list, we'd be paying a fair bit for the current squad in return though.....

CEO is on the board of the QRU - is there any reason they'd need a full board to appoint the coach? And doesn't the HC now report through Dan Herbert's position?

    The Wallabies Thread

Isn't it a payment problem? Either get paid by the ARU for national duties or by a European/Japanese club. Super Rugby money doesn't cut it these days. If they got the same money here as elsewhere they'd stay and fight for the jersey Edit - should have read beyond the first paragraph ;)

    HSBC 7's - Round 10 - London

Haha god stuff. we used to do that in the old u11 days

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Pragmatically, they've generally been full time pros under a decent system so don't need the months/years of conditioning that even NRC players require to get them up to standard

Declining participation and ARU plans for the future

If we lose the private school investment in rugby, which is essentially a massive subsidy in our game's development then we have no hope. It's investment that can't be replaced from within the game. The next obvious question is why are the school kids choosing soccer or touch or baseball etc...

    Reds 2017

If I was a foreign player entertaining identical offers from the Oz super Rugby teams right now I would put the Reds above the Force but below any of the other teams. Pay me more and I might come to Brisbane

    Reds 2017

That's a fair enough comment. Sounds like a challenge for the GM, coach and recruitment manager to overcome. We need an organisation where good players want to come. It's nowhere near that at the moment. We will have to pay key people more than our competition to achieve that in the short...

    Reds 2017

Surely we can't have another season trying to develop a 10 rather than starting someone who is competent in the position. It's a shame to see Greene go but he's young, he could be back. Same with McIntyre. Frankly, I don't care what those two do for the next couple of years. Aim to have them...

What's the chance Hunt is still playing rugby in Australia in 2018?

Harris is off to France isn't he?

    Reds v Sunwolves, Round 13, 21 May 2016

Was really evident wasn't it. Thought it was funny when at one point the comms said the ball was coming out just to quickly for the SW while in possession.

Jarryd Hayne signs with Fiji Sevens

Depends if you aim is to embarrass him in the full media spotlight for as long as possible while he hasn't trained with the team, doesn't know the game and isn't conditioned yet. If I were even minutely considering playing Hayne at the Olympics I'd play him as little as possible now.

    Reds 2017

In partial defense of the QRU, much as they didn't expect last year's star recruit to be up on drugs charges, they probably expected this year's to be at least competent at full back.

    Rugby TV Ratings 2016

Just had a look at The Wookie's spreadsheet - I'm pretty sure that's the highest crowd since the game against the chiefs in June last year

    Rugby TV Ratings 2016

19,000 attendance though. Can't have been too many bigger crowds at Suncorp this year

    Reds v Sunwolves, Round 13, 21 May 2016

Another 4 missed tackles for McIntyre this week which is probably why Pisi looked so good. Unfortunately Jake is comfortably on top of the super Rugby missed tackle count, with 33, 8 ahead of the next worst.
